Got one of these myself and stopped using it years ago because it so cumbersome, that aside it is a good price so heat added.

Great price if your local has stock.

Midge

:xNone in LUTON

Also had one of these but because of the struggle to put it on I stopped using it

does anyone use these anymore?

Hot

I use one of these

My car will be there in the morning feeling is comforting

cold still full price in manchester I have phoned all my local stores and is still full price
HAVE YOU GOT ANY PHOTOS

I've used one since someone stole all my spare car keys. The thing is cumbersome and heavy, but it would be pretty difficult to get it off without a key

cold - not on offer. is this actually confirmed? seems like most people vote hot even before its been confirmed these days...

I've not voted but good price if you can get it.

I use one of these and although it's heavy, it only takes seconds to put on.

Like the other poster said, I don't worry about my car when I have it on as it'd be pretty difficult to get it off without the key!

Quality product! Lost the key for mine a few years ago, had to get the AA out, and it took him half an hour to cut it off, with a van full of tools, very noisy! I went out and bought another straight away  and made sure the spare key was in a safe place!

Whats the point in these?.You need the keys to start a car,hot wiring is a thing of the past................

Who even uses these things these days? Idiots. Unless your keys are stolen it's practically impossible to steal a car which is under 10 years old. Don't waste your life putting this on every day and looking literally retarded.

Are you seriously suggesting these are utterly pointless because there are no longer any cars on the road over 10 years old ?

The mind boggles !

I don't think they said or implied that. Ithink that they were saying that it has little to no benefit on a car built since 1997.

If you have bought a second hand low value car that has had many owners (possible spare keys galore)

Then I believe that a Disklok is very useful

If anyone has a key that fits my car then they will need a right special effort to take it away

Also if you have 3rd party only insurance then this extra security is only common sense

Again, knowing your car will be there in the morning is priceless

If your car has an immobiliser (the vast majority of cars on the road do due, a requirement post 1997 I believe) then anybody capable of circumventing that will find this child's play.

I am not sure about your comment re: previous owners, keys are very expensive these days so it would be premeditated - i.e. by a car criminal who would once again, find this child's play.

^^
I think if a car thief saw one of these monsters on the wheel then he'd walk away,
all the others I've seen I could get off myself with the right tools

If I ever travel to Manchester or Liverpool then I always take mine with me

Bargain at £10

not that price online?

Why would it make any difference? (Again, on the assumption that it is a post 1997 car). Why just Manchester and Liverpool, are there no car criminals in London or Birmingham?

Car criminals don't get into cars to steal them (and this doesn't stop them smashing the window and checking for your sat nav) - they have to have the keys.

nobody is going to be stealing a car with one of these fitted, whether they have got the ignition keys or whether they hot wire it
unless your superman you cannot and steer a car with a large spinning disc over the steering wheel, that also has a steel bar sticking out by 12 inches that swings down in the footwell area, smashing anyones knee caps

If they can get through your immobiliser this will be child's play. If they have your keys to your car then they will probably have the key to this too. Still, if you like wasting your money...(again, just in case anybody tries to make an assumption otherwise, this assumes that the car is post 1997).

have you actually handled one, or used one?
IT WOULD BE QUICKER TO DRIVE A LORRY NEXT TO THE CAR AND LIFT IT AWAY WITH A CRANE

And this stops that how?

I don't think you understand, your car is fitted with an immobiliser (assuming it is post 1997). The immobilisers are really quite good and without the car key, almost all car thieves are going to get nowhere. The car thieves that can get around the immobiliser will not be troubled by this (or they will use a low loader).

You cannot physically drive the car, even if you had got past the immobiliser.
And no one can fool modern immobs these days on any car after ~1997

Yes, they can, there are ways, but you wouldn't do it for your average car.

If you cannot get past the immobiliser, why in the world would you need a second piece of security?

because it stops the thief being able to manouver the car or even seat in the drivers seat whilst turning
