That's my kind of park

What a load of rubbish. My opinion of the so called artist Banksy has nose dived to an all time low.

You'd need to go to make an opinion

Brilliant!

Water Cannon Creek
An armour plated riot control vehicle built to serve on the streets of Northern Ireland. Equipped with sniper posts, grenade launchers and now – a children’s slide.

WTF?

Whatever your opinion of Banksy as 'an artist' nobody can deny that he has a unique way of looking at the world and displaying 'normal' things in alternative, amusing and often very poignant ways.

if i lived closer i'd love to see it

how do you actually book Book tickets? looked on the website and can't select any days.

Lol, love it

Well worth £3 for a unique experience. Unfortunately for me, not worth a 6 hour return drive on top.

Amazing how many people have missed the point with this event.

Yes, they interviewed some old dears on TV last night, and they were very unimpressed, saying how dismal it looked...

Its more than Banksy here - plenty of other modern art as well.

Damien Hirst has at least one exhibit here as well

£3 seems a steal but its a long way to go as well, and not much else there for a day trip!!

Also love the 'warning' - The following are strictly prohibited in the Park – spray paint, marker pens, knives and legal representatives of the Walt Disney Corporation

Is that in Margate?

If you're undecided (!) there is a good video on the BBC News website showing you what to expect

you'll probably be queueing most of the day so you wouldn't need to fill your time anywhere else but. there is the pier . sea life centre . court farm . puxton park . you could get lunch . go to uphill castle

Say what you want about Banksy ! And people often do but he does have a huge worldwide following and it's a real bonus for Weston super mare pity Torquay didn't bid for this,
I particularly like the take on sea world Shamu coming out of a toilet ! He must have the maddest dreams ever ! I'm going at the weekend I wonder if he's going to play the Small small world theme !

I am gutted personally that I live just too far away. This will be a once in a lifetime exhibition. It's not just Banksy but about 100 cutting edge artists from all over the world for only £3.00. People will flock from not only UK but other countries just for this. I'd fork out for travel and hotel even but everything will be full and mega expensive so it's out of my reach.
No disrespect to those who don't 'get it' as Art isn't everyone's thing but if you live near enough make the effort and go. This will be even bigger than the Sensation exhibition was.I'm jealous!

Sorry I love your critique OP. I can see all the Daily Mail readers scoffing at this but it's all their pessimistic views turned into a theme park lol

Nice one...

Really want to go to this, cant believe how cheap it is to get in!

Not difficult 'to get' as such, in fact quite the opposite. Saw the item on the news last night and was left wondering why it was being described as 'subversive'. Brought to mind Carey's 'The Intellectuals and the Masses' which chronicles how the artistic elite have tended to patronise and condescend. Banksy's critique of society seems to me not unlike that of the inter-war years, premised on a crude disdain for mass culture (or, by implication, the users of mass culture, the so-called 'great unwashed'). Cold.

You seem to have blithely failed to miss the point. Banksy is by no means the only artist represented here. He seems to be more curator than exhibitor.
In fairness to the op just because 'you' don't like it doesn't make this cold.
£3.00 for an event of this magnitude is a steal. I hate processed breaded chicken but if someone posts a deal on here for 4 fillets at 50p or whatever it's clearly hot for those that like that sort of thing.

I already knew about this and hadn't voted on this post but am now definitely giving a it a hot vote to counteract your unfair personally biased cold.

Think life's negative enough without having it reinforced! Just watch the news, I certainly don't want my daughter seeing Cinderella and her coachmen dead.

Ugh. Ignore...

its a theme park unsuitable for small children

I love this! If it causes discussion I think it's a success.

He explores important issues with dark comedy.

I'm a fan.

Having this deal on HUKD is the epitome of irony.
