Thought this was a GBA Advance SP at first. Am disappointed.

Wouldn't it be better to buy a kindle 7 inch tablet? Who uses dvd in 2018. Only joking but just giving people the option maybe better for some people to invest in a tablet for the similar price that does more. Everyone use case is diffrent if this fits you better more power to you.

i remember paying £800 for a sharp one in about 2001 when the Pioneer one didnt show up - then a further £120 to chip it multi-region...! and £100 for a battery pack!

If i may, we have just received a couple of DVD's from a well meaning aunt …If i may, we have just received a couple of DVD's from a well meaning aunt for our kids. Which is lovely, except we don't have a dvd player, nor do we particularly want to go back to using discs - before buying them a dvd player, it might be worth checking that they have / use discs.

Don't forget that it has a USB drive, so if you're computer savvy you can download some movies and put them on a flash drive

If i may, we have just received a couple of DVD's from a well meaning aunt for our kids. Which is lovely, except we don't have a dvd player, nor do we particularly want to go back to using discs - before buying them a dvd player, it might be worth checking that they have / use discs.

Helpful when you are on holiday and traveling in the car long distances , especially with a toddler.

I would be wary of the usb function. I have a similar one with usb and nothing works on it. Won't read pen drives. Usb 2 or 3 hard drives

I do. 50p for many decent movies on DVD at CEX, and often 20p or 33p at carboot sales. For the amount I watch, it is cheaper than streaming and I can watch the movies I want rather than the less-than-good selection at NowTV or amazon prime. They are fine for a month or so, but often don't have that good a selection.

i know but some people get caught up on this site buying things as they are cheap. i just wanted to add some other options for people who may be buying it off the cheap price alone without thinking of other options that may be better for them. like someone mentioned buying dvd cheap when some people have netflix which can be loaded on to a kindle and watch/ stream movies for free especially if you already have an account or even watch youtube or other streaming sites which may entertain kids just as much. but if you need a DVD player like said more power to you go for it.
