sorted byIt's true. This is pretty soulless compared to the 1998 one we all know and love. It is very confused as to the underlying message. Whereas the original was about a young lady who overcomes her limitations out of a sense of duty and honour to her family. Using her intelligence, wit and tenaciousness to beat the heavilly stacked odds, the remake instead opts for a empty kung-fu flick where she is basically a demi-god already.
