May or may not be a decent deal or discussion but it worked for me.

My Dad who is also on O2 (Monthly, not PAYG) had this text message.

His Disney Plus freebie ran out a little while ago, as did mine.

I hadn't recieved this text message so was curious if it would work.

It did, we both got 3 months of D+ which now expires Dec 21

Thought it was account specific, but its worth a shot

Took a year of Disney+ for £59.99.... I shouldn't have bothered, it's been constant freebies since. Its like Disney is just taking the mick knowing I've paid upfront.

I don't think I've paid a penny since Disney+ had been introduced. O2 freebies, EE freebies, Xbox Freebies, launch day freebies

Got the text and assumed I got 3 months free then had to pay for remaining 9.

But if it's 3 months and can cancel, sweet!!

Can't seem to get it to activate though. Just goes to a black screen when I hit activate in the app.

It may depend! If you have an annual subscription active this gets automatically paused while the O2 one is active. I am not sure about other types (eg via Tesco vouchers)

Fell for that. I had my existing free subscription ending January end and tried to activate this offer but it cancelled Jan end subscription and now I have until beginning of December. Lost two months
Well, both are free subs and approaching end of contract, so not an issue

Does it add extra 3 months to my 6 months or change my 6 months to 3 months? Sounds silly but just want to be 100% sure Also does this work for anyone who already taken the Disney+ offer from o2?

Careful. I had a month left to go and I got two emails/texts straight away:

Message 1: "Just confirming your extra's now cancelled. It'll no longer be included in your plan."

Message 2: "Your O2 Extra is now ready, all that's left to do is activate it. You can do that here. Or via the link in My O2. You've got 28 days to activate it"

So I lost the existing month but it looks like I will have three months free from today (or when I activate it).

    Edit: thanks @darkstryder360 (edited)

If you mean your already receiving it free till Feb 2022 then don't use this offer. Seems its overwrites any offer your already on.

If your paying but at a lower rate till Feb 2022 then it might be worth taking on for the three free months.

It doesn't stack though so check what your offer currently is.

Same for me. Had a text confirmation through too, click that link and it takes me to the Disney app that tries to charge me £7.99 a month. Just doesn't seem to want to link/activate through my app (Samsung S10 5g user)

That should (hopefully) change soon. China has started to ban effeminate and sissy men from being shown in the media and they also happen to be Disney's biggest market. They'll have to change things if they want to keep their biggest customer.

Been a subscriber to disney for about 4-5months and I've found the service dull, empty and a complete waste of money. Its going to be cancelled at the end of the year.

For those trying to decide between netflix and disney - go with netflix.

This offer is still working. I signed up for the offer in September but totally forgot to activate it, and it is no longer showing in my o2 extras. So I have just sent “DISNEY3” to 21500 again, and it has let me start the process again. Just had confirmation that the offer has been activated. 3 months free until 6th Jan 2022. I’ve also just turned off auto renew. 🏻
