A modern day retelling of the classic story The Frog Prince. The Princess and the Frog finds the lives of arrogant, carefree Prince Naveen and hardworking waitress Tiana crossing paths. Prince Naveen is transformed into a frog by a conniving voodoo magician and Tiana, following suit, upon kissing the amphibian royalty. With the help of a trumpet-playing alligator, a Cajun firefly, and an old blind lady who lives in a boat in a tree, Naveen and Tiana must race to break the spell and fulfill their dreams.

Backstage Disney

Magic in the Bayou: The Making of The Princess & The Frog: A freewheeling, documentary-style ramble through the making of Disney's newest animated film focusing on significant "returns" - the return of John Musker and Ron Clements to Disney Feature Animation, the return of hand-drawn 2D animation and the return to a Fairy Tale. This piece will capture both the spirit and the story of how THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG emerged from a vague concept in the minds of Musker and Clements, to become a splashy, lavish animated film set in the enchanting, mythical world of New Orleans and the surrounding bayous.

What Do You See: Princess Portraits

Mama Odie welcomes us to the bayou, where Ray’s firefly family has just outlined a picture of Tiana. Mama Odie proposes a game to test the viewers’ knowledge of princesses. Ray’s firefly family will arrange themselves to create a picture of one of the princesses. If the viewer correctly identifies which princess is seen in the formation they make, they are rewarded with a brief - hip, and slightly irreverent - re-telling of that princess’ story, which plays as a montage on the surface of the water.

Awesome price and a great film, reminded me of the old Disney films like the Jungle Book

Why would you want the DVD when you have the Blu? =/

Actually, it does come in handy. Saves buying the same movie twice on 2 different formats. Remember, not everyone has a blu-ray player.

And many people just like buying Supersets to add to their collections.

It is fabulous having both blu ray & DVD - blu ray for in the house, DVD for the portable player ;-)

The ordinary one - ie BR+DVD is in HMV's 2 for £25 with other not so recent films, like Braveheart - "You can take or lives but you can never escape a maximised Barnett formula".

I'm not too impressed by digital copies and that is all this set has over the other one, but this is a good price for either.

Having a DVD copy is good as its unlikely at this stage you will have a Blu-ray player in every room with a TV. And with the DVDs you can make your own digital copy for ipods/iphones/psps etc.
