A simple little converter. Very handy when you want to connect a DP equipped notebook or desktop with a standard HDMI capable monitor or LED TV. At this price its a steal, normally converters of this type are in the £10-25 territory.
This looks like a cheaply manufactured item, but then why does that matter when all you want to do is a quick convert to get yourself out of a sticky situation.
Should be in the AV and computer nerds toolkit.

Its also a Amazon Prime item, meaning free following day delivery every time :-)

Just to note: this is from a displayport output device (laptop) to a HDMI input (screen) only. It will not work if you're planning to use that spare displayport input on your screen.

Thanks for this - just what I needed. Added some Old Spice for free delivery then added the Mastercard code, whoohoo!

Ooo that is nice.. and cheaper too...although I would probably still go with mine at £5.99, only because its Amazon Prime, so its shipped/fulfilled by Amazon... next day delivery....I guess its my lack of patience that drives that decision though.

How robust is it? The ones at work are always getting damaged because people don't push the tab down to release the pins at the DP end. Slightly concerned with this one being a solid block rather than a short cable that it would sag against the port once you add the weight/strain on the HDMI cable too?

How is this a deal? These have been available on eBay for about £0.60 delivered from China (2-3 weeks) or £0.99-£2 from the UK, delivered in 1-3 days

I don't get you, HUD people...
