Found 4th Dec 2013
Saw these in Aldi - Eccles, I bought 5.

Normally £1.99 and now 19p.

Save them as they're great for Festival Season and to have a little BBQ in the Summer.

Even if you just bought these for the coal. It's a hell of a deal.

stock up for our one day of summer next July

I winder why they're so cheap?

Are these for the Flamedeers?

I hate these things with a vengeance.

Nothing says "I don't give a **** about waste", more than using one of these.

Oh, apart from driving to the post box, a five minute walk.

PLUS, anything you cook on these things will be burnt on the outside, raw in the middle.

Hot price for what they are though! ;-)

It feels good to have got that off my chest.....

Great to use the contents for those on the naughty list!

They are completely metal, recyclable waste. The act of using doesn't say you dont give a ****... the act of leaving it in the park bin does.

If you buy 50 of these, cut all the metal to take the coal out, then put coal in some bag to use later on your normal barbecue, then you should seriously consider what went wrong in your life.

Don't forget to weigh in the metal at local scrap yard

Not really any good this time of year... Just think how many they'd sell if they had them this price in summer!

Anyone seen these in any other stores?

Don't most councils filter metal out of waste anyway?
if not, have to wonder why..

Very handy for the summer, worth stocking up on. Heat added

Nice find next summer sorted

Fab price!!!!

Can I cook my turkey on it?

I beg to differ sir! There's about 1/2 - 2/3 kilo coal in these for 19p and it's about £4 for 10 kilo bag of coal, so that's less than half the price. Then if you have an outdoor gym and need a 1/2 kilo of coal and some wood everyday in the winter to burn while working out then this is perfect. I could even through the whole thing in my burner and wouldn't have to clean it after.

You can actually easily make charcoal; even humans with little intelligence.

These are great, but at this time of year you'll probably get people trying to use them indoors, which is really dangerous because of the gases they release

bought a couple of these in the summer and they were rubbish I wouldnt buy even at this price

deeky

Think I will pass!

Will come in handy (hopefully!) within the next 8 months.

Good excuse for a December BBQ! Mashmallows all round...

How well can you cook a turkey on one of these?

You would need a load of these to cook a whole flamedeer on.

If a flamedeer's head is on fire, I presume its body must be pretty fire resistant. You'd probably need a furnace.

None at Sutton in Ashfield Aldi and when i asked them if they had any in they looked at me like id escaped from a mental hospital.

I was going to say it might kill you off quicker than gas but only if you use it indoors I suppose.
