◆ Story ◆
----------------------------------------
Darkness converges upon us, and the world crumbles before our very eyes…
What was once a sanctuary for the weary has now become a battlefield.
Long ago, the deities Spiritus and Materia warped the fabric of time and space to create a new world—a world they populated with warriors from other realms.
These men and women were forced to fight day and night without reprieve, and the strain of endless battle soon grew to be too great.
With battered bodies and shattered spirits, they sent out a cry for help…

I usually steer clear of F2P as they're usually P2W but the reviews say otherwise

New to app stores mate? The game is pretty much playable without IAPs. Been playing for two hours so far.

Not played this yet, but most f2p games get you hooked, you hit the 4-5hr mark and suddenly the IAP become essential
FF 15 Pocket Edition will be out soon, looking forward to that one instead

If it's anything like the other f2p Final Fantasy games you really never have to spend a penny to enjoy it and progress at a good pace.

In Record Keeper for example, the IAPs are insanely overpriced gatcha pulls (you'd have to spend hundreds of pounds to get exactly what you want) so only people with far more money than sense would ever bother. But these things don't add much to the game anyway.
I’ve been playing this for a week or so and up to chapter 3 (I’ve played about 10 hours). You unlock characters via story progression and the loot boxes give you armour and weapons for the characters instead. I haven’t paid a penny on the game and so far got 5 x 5* weapons, and 2 x 5* armour. The game is really good and fair so far, it hasn’t tried to turn into pay to win at all

Those gacha games are always generous at the beginning to get you playing. Enjoy it while you can!
Record Keeper is dreadful. Ex Vius wasn't much better. I couldn't cope with the horrific UI for a start. Here's hoping this is better, and crossing fingers that any upcoming reboots aren't going the same way as certain other massive franchises...

Edit: heat for making me aware of this!
