From producer Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) and director Neill Blomkamp comes a startlingly original sciencefiction thriller that "soars on the imagination of its creators" (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone).

With stunning special effects and gritty realism, the film plunges us into a world where the aliens have landed... only to be exiled to a slum on the fringes of Johannesburg. Now, one lone human discovers the mysterious secret of the extraterrestrial weapon technology. Hunted and hounded through the bizarre back alleys of an alien shantytown, he will discover what it means to be the ultimate outsider on your own planet.

Good spot to start the day.

How much is it 2nd hand on Amazon? I picked it up for less than £2 a few months back...you must be able to get it cheaper than this...

Good movie and based on a true story.

Got to say that I was incredibly disappointed with this film and found it an absolute chore to watch.

I wouldn't buy it but it's a good price, a lot lower than I've seen it elsewhere.

If i had a top 10 list of films ever, which i haven't thought of yet this would be in it.

I love when these sharply contrasting opinions show up in threads right beside each other, must be very confusing for people who haven't seen it yet :).

I think this one is a bit like mar mite for people. Couldn't stand it myself , the plotholes were gaping

Cracking film, cheers mate.

It's purely a marketing strategy, now they HAVE to see it to check if its really that good or that bad

One of my very favourite films

Fiver in Asda. You know, unless everything must be delivered by Amazon or else it's not a deal. Seeing as most won't be getting free delivery so it won't be £4.40 that's actually cheaper than this deal.
Welcome.

You could buy this and Cloverfield, which is also on offer and watch them in the same evening. See if you can get through them both before killing your TV and/or yourself.
