My local Richer Sounds price matched the £1499.99 including their 6 year warranty. I think it's gone up now at District Electricals though.

Thank you John Lewis has price matched for 1518.99 with the 5 year guarantee I think I gotta go for it can’t see it going down much less for Black Friday

gone a bit cold in here im gone

John Lewis did a price match with me for the 65" a short while ago without mentioning the guarantee, all they added on was the delivery fee so worth a shot with them.

£100 off 1700 is not a hot deal by any stretch

LG OLED65C8PLA 65 Inch 4K HDR Ultra HD Smart OLED TV - £2,399.99 @ Districtelectricals
Refreshed 26th OctRefreshed 26th Oct
Just come across this. Looks like a decent price compared to the competition.

£2,349.99 now. How many times can John Lewis price match? If you claim John Lewis right now, would you be able to claim again if the price at District electricals drop further on Black Friday?

Now £2319.99!

I’ve just had a JL price match approved so that price locked in for 28 days now and will wait a week and see what happens on Black Friday.

Also submitted a request to JL, if they process that I think it’s valid 28 days in case Black Friday provides anything better (for which I’m not too hopeful)

Thanks. Got it price matched at JL. This is the best deal for 65" C8. Don't settle for a B8 if you are already spending that much on a tv already. This deal should hot hot hot.

Mine arrived today. Just a few cons: stupid fan curve and high pitch sound. Not got the best wifi card. Screen brightness is decent but the steps are weird- 70% is probably 50% actual brightness. For £550 its pretty good.

Bought it from Currys but going back Such a sexy light pleasure machine Nice trackpad too Just the screen creamish and not bright

Pretty much impossible. Been waiting a long time for this. There’s always a trade off with these mid range laptops. Surprised this model isn’t more widely known.

Do you have it? Or reading forums?

No I've never heard of them either. Yes they have a retail store in Worcester. Yes you should be able to get a John Lewis price match.

Nor does mine (Yamaha A840) but I knew that. You can of course connect the source direct to the TV via one of the 4 HDMI and get the sound back to amp using ARC (DD+ at best) The quality of this screen is freekin awesome - try some of the 4K demos! Yes even 1080p is great.

£359.02 credited back to my CC by John Lewis .. nice!

Set up the TV today - WOW - amazing quality even on 720p and 1080p TV series. One big problem - My receiver does not pass 4K HDR to the set - more expense (or a good excuse to upgrade my AV receiver)

OLEDs on the wall! Thanks OP!

Just had the text from John Lewis - getting deivered tomorrow between 17.30 and 19.30 ;( Talk about cutting it fine. Have also been downloading for the last week full 4K "demos" in preparation.

I mean Apple do fairly cheap iPads now at only around £100 more than this. You'd get a much better experience than buying this but if you HAVE to save that £100 then I guess this isn't too bad.

Yes, agree it's a 2 year old model, but even an iPad of that age is substantially more. We have 3 iPads in our house and the S2 is much nicer. Oh well, as I said, if I can help one person, I'm a happy man.😁

It's probably because this is technically a used model, not a new one. The other factor is age. You're talking £229 for a 2 to 4 year old tablet (I believe they silently updated the hd/ware in '16) which is still somewhat steep and will likely stop receiving updates. In fact I don't even think it got Oreo. Yes, Custom ROMs are a thing but to the average joe, they won't want to flash with no technical knowledge. I loved my Tab 3 8.0 until I dropped it down the stairs. You can buy Apple's cheapest iPad and it'd still be newer and much better.

It's the updated variant, although the spec says exynos 1.8, when it is actually a Snapdragon. Mine came with 7.0 installed.

Ive got this TV, Brightness is great, as for motion handling ive never seen a single problem and I play fast paced FPS games on Xbox one and watch sports.

I saw people saying the brightness isn't great on this. Does anyone know what the motion handling is like?

Great price and heated, however in this price range I'd be looking for an extended guarantee.

Ooooh thanks for the post Now, would the other agree to a bigger screen...hmm

This is also £379.99 through HughesDirect's ebay page. It shows as £399, but when you add it to your basket it automatically knocks £20 off. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391760691125

Yeah, only grade a if bought from the site itself. Never mind, I tried and some people have got the deal so it's all good.

Just did this and it still works. Crazy that this deal went cold. I think people must have seen "Grade A" in the description without reading the rest. 40" is plenty big enough for many people. Good deal.

Just price matched for me. Thanks OP

Do you have your case number? I've just emailed as i purchased this in the middle of last month, just want the details incase they decline to price match :-)

Makes me laugh. An Xbox one for listed on here for £399.99 and is currently over 700°. All HUKD is for is a popularity contest. Depending on who posts gets heat rather than the item itself :/ (mad) very sad

Please show me a better deal as this is even lower than the eBay one released today. Typical HDUK

I agree, somewhere in the £300 or under region like it has been ~3 months ago at O2 (admittedly via Refresh though): Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 32GB Like New (Black/Gold/Pink) Unlocked (see details) £297.99 @ O2 Refresh

Ebay is a very safe way to buy phones like this, way more protection than buying off some random retailer online. Also 10x nectar points today/tomo so extra £15-ish off. Been looking for an S7 Edge for last two weeks this is how much they cost: A1 Refurbs like this deal £330-350 Used ok condition - £260-300 Used good condition - £300-360 Brand new - £360-390 Also you can easily check the age if the buyer doesn't know. Ask them for the serial no. and imei from box, then check it on imei.info. With sealed batteries newer in worse condition is better than older in better condition imo. Edit - word on price, even my S6 Edge is still worth close to £250 surprisingly, these really hold their value

>serial number etched off I would have bought this, but I really don't like this. I'm not sure why it is necessary to cosmetically 'disfigure' the phone! They state there is no manufacturer warranty - ok, no problem but surely Samsung could just decline a warranty claim if required. Also, I'd be worried that the etching would weaken the back. YMMV but this held me back from placing an order.

Purchased similar from argos in ebay. The back of the phone was totally opened up. Phone smelled of superglue.

But it's not, even on eBay...

They are UK based and the phones are for the correct region, already checked up with them on that. Their customer service seems surprisingly great too

lol, good luck with that, they are a Hong Kong based company selling phones made for the chinese and Hong Kong market. you'll have no euro warranty and your warranty with them is worth naff all

Yeah that sounds very dodgy.

Don't edgelit tv's have poorer image quality?

Oh yeah and the way it leans back at a jaunty angle is a bad idea. Hung mine up.

I have the 58" and can recommend it.wouldn't spend that much though.

I think the whole Panasonic range is about to get replaced so I would expect to see some more discounts on these "old models" soon. p.s. widely regarded as the best LCDs available.

Heads up that there is no support for Netflix 4k on this.
