Today, the Titanic story stands as modern myth: a luxurious dream ship brimming with the Gilded Age's celebrities and its steerage class; a technological wonder so sophisticated, so sound, as to be deemed invulnerable. Add to that the tragic elements of human error and the inexorable power of Nature and the tale of Titanic, with its myriad stories of heartbreak and heroism, becomes a poignant chapter in humanity's collective history. Now you can behold that history.

Operation Titanic is an epic 12-day adventure to the world's most famous shipwreck. From a research vessel in the remote North Atlantic, descend 2 miles to the ocean floor inside high-tech submersibles. Circumnavigate the massive hull, view the bridge, bow, grand staircase, propellers. See firsthand what few have only imagined.

Highlights of your Expedition include:

Accommodation aboard the scientific research vessel, Akademik Keldysh.
Lectures and briefings by a host of eminent underwater and deep-ocean experts.
A dive to the wreckage aboard the MIR I and MIR II submersibles, used in the filming of James Cameron's Titanic.
Participation in ongoing deep-ocean research.
A videotape capturing your dive and the wonders of the Titanic.

Don't forget the voucher section or Quidco.... :giggle: :giggle:

wow bargain!!! - Just checking my credit limit

Yeah Because everyone here has 28 and half grand lying around

Cold! like the bottom of the ocean

Surely, it should only be cold if you can find it cheaper elsewhere.

If someone made a post for £28.5k for say a brand new Porsche 911 then that would of course be a good deal since it's way cheaper than elsewhere.

If you can come up with a cheaper dive to the Titanic vote cold.

Voted hot, since I couldn't get it cheaper elsewhere.

Think I might call them and see if they'll do me a discount for two tickets.. something along the lines of 98%!!!

A bargain indeed!

There may be some more available here for anyone who has a huge amount of cash.... ]http//ht…tml

Already done it, was hoping that i would see Leonard Di Caprio down there, but he wasnt

if someone had £28k cash then they would not be on here looking for cheap bargins :P

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you. Thread made me laugh out loud. :giggle:

Hope there are enough lifeboats left!

Can you use Quidco on this? It might persuade people who otherwise wouldn't usually go for it

If someone wants to pay me £20,000, i will build them a boat, sink it and then even show them around the ruins. PM me if interested

Just saved myself £28490.01 :giggle:

You can't actually go until summer because of the weather. So, i'll consider going to it in the summer... if it was a teeny weeny bit cheaper.

I went on this trip last year and have to say the dive was dissapointing - Hubby and I didn't find any Jewellery, cash, bodies or general artifacts to bring home and sell on Ebay.....we were allowed to walk around the ship though and saw some nice sea life.

pfffft 28k thats like my loose change

ill take 3!

Well that's the end of Titanic ruined for me now... ;).

Just booked it. Decisions, decisions, do I pack the green speedo's or the blue ones. Hmmm
