I've not played it, but I have friends that have harped on about it long enough that they've broken me down. Great reviews so who knows!
Add it to the shame pile while it's on offer.
Xbox One price currently £16.99 at Game, and £16.49 at Amazon.

Edit - spotted by outlaw.king (thanks!) at Game Collection for £14.95 thegamecollection.net/ps4…c36

Hope this helps somebody.

Good price... I really want this on Switch for portability reasons but not sure I can justify paying 3x this

I'm in the exact same boat tbf.
The friends recommending it are on ps4, but realistically I'll be doing this solo, and it looks like the perfect Switch port.
But yeah, I can no more condone dropping £40 odd quid on this for digital, especially having not actually played it to know if it's my thing or not.
I saw on twitter they said there's a physical switch edition coming? But it's limited or something? Either way, it won't be as reasonably priced as this for a long time
Is this point and click mechanics?

From what I could see of reviews, it was initially on PC and is 'at its best' using a mouse, but they've optimized it for console controllers and have apparently done a great job with it.
It's a turn based RPG.

The physical release for the Switch is a limited release. It's from Limited Run Games (limitedrungames.com/) and so will be both pricey as a base price, then evening spicier once shipping from US is added on (I believe that customs is pre-paid, so there shouldn't be an extra charge there).

I'd say that this is a game that is worth playing no matter the format, so if you have a PS4 and the chance to spend a few dozen hours in front of the TV (not all in one go) then jump on this price. The Switch port is worth the price (given that the game is excellent), but only if you ignore the fact that it's sub £20 elsewhere.

There ye go!
Oof. Yeah that would be as big a sting then.
I don't even want it physical for the collectors aspect, more that if I find for whatever reason it's not for me, I can at least trade it (turn based can be hit or miss for me at times).
But I'm thinking at least if I get it here on offer and love it, well I'm more confident in going for it on Switch. Wouldn't be the first time I've double dipped!

Go for it. I'm certainly picking up the Switch physical (for the collection) which will see me double-dipping. But it's such a great game, I couldn't possibly not have it nestled in amongst its Switch friends on my shelf

Good spot, I added that in up above if that's ok.
I can get mine this evening passing game, so I'm ok with the extra pound to try it this evening.
This is an awesome game. There is so much value in it. If you play it straight it is very tough. Thankfully there are many strategies and ways to avoid encounters until you are strong enough. If you cant find a way through the front door there are back doors and side doors. So that what initially appears to be impossible can be easily solved.

You need to be creative in your strategies and this encourages repeated play throughs once you do defeat the game.

Yes, but the control system is well implemented on the PS4 - it's a turn based RPG though (not a point & click adventure game) - not quite as good as the first game IMHO due to excessive use of necrofire as a combat effect in the mid/late game.
