DIY valentines night under £15 steak and wine (or under £10 no wine)

"stay in on valentines night deals" I find are limiting and still costly considering you can make your own for less...
So I though id share my thoughts for a night in which you can chop and change as you wish - there's so much more choice doing it yourself.

I shop at Asda usually so this is where I have found my menu:

Starter Garlic Bread £0.41
main Rib Eye steak (x2) with sauce,
served with a jacket potato,
salad and onion rings £8.30
dessert Cheesecake £1.00
wine Gran Colina Rioja £5.00
Total
£14.71

here are all the links ( hope I have done it right)

Starters (41p)

35p Leaf and rocket salad – use half a bag (70p)

25p battered Onion rings – use ¼ of the bag if that (£1)

Dessert (£1)

£1 cheesecake

£5 Gran Colina Rioja* my preferred wine with steak but there are several choices from £4 onwards depending on preference though J

There's a meat joke in here somewhere, but I'll refrain. Good idea though, should definitely be encouraged instead of falling victim to ever-increasing commercialisation.
Nice idea @cliffliz thanks for sharing
