Key Features

Packed with detail

You can get some truly cinematic shots with the DJI Mavic Air 2 Drone. Whether you're capturing peaceful shores or BMX tricks, your aerial shots are effortlessly smooth thanks to 4K video at 60 fps.

You'll love the balance HDR brings to your shots. By layering images, a greater range of colours are captured, so you'll see the detail in the terrain along with vibrant blue skies.

Smarter photos

SmartPhoto takes the hassle out of playing around with settings. It optimises your photos depending on the scene, so you get balanced images even in strong or weak lighting.

And when you want more detail, you can zoom in without losing any quality when capturing 48-megapixel photos.

Video made easy

Create like the professionals do thanks to FocusTrack. Simply pick your subject and the Mavic Air 2 will follow, keeping them in the frame.

And for stunning timelapse videos, there's 8K Hyperlapse. Simply choose from different modes, select the location and the DJI Fly app will create it for you – no post-processing required.

Regulations apply to drones and model aircraft from 250 g to 20 kg that are used outdoors. There are three main requirements.

You must:
- Pass an online test to get a flyer ID if you want to fly a drone or model aircraft
- Register for an operator ID if you're responsible for a drone or model aircraft
- Label any drones and model aircraft you're responsible for with your operator ID.

£901 for the Fly More Combo. The 2 batteries come in handy and worth paying that little bit extra.

I know, I’d definitely get the fly more as it also comes with ND filters but this is still a good saving on the standard package

It looks like they’ve stopped it. Not sure why they’ve kept the offer for the drone but not the combo.

Received mine yesterday from Currys eBay and got it for £901.
Waiting till Europe gets the Air Sense Alert which features on the Mavic Air 2 in the U.S.
Fly more combo is only worth it if you know you'll use it a lot. The batteries are useful, the ND filters are vital and the rest of it is overpriced.
Remember that you can buy the fly more combo seperately if you do end up using your drone a lot, otherwise batteries cost about £100 each and there's cheaper (albeit slightly lower quality) ND filters online for about £20.

Got my drone in release for about this price using the very new account code. Great little machine!

£100 for a battery seems like price gouging.

You have already paid for the feature, may as well have it as it alerts you of other sub 400ft drones n the area. Dji stated that all 2020 drones above 250grm to have air sense. Lack of distribution of parts due to Covid priorities went to the U.S drones

Only went to the US as a priority because it’s a requirement there now

Thanks for posting, watching YouTube videos it’s a fantastic drone
Was going for about £690 for about last 5 days with curry's 5% on everything + stackable Product5 code.

Now, curry's offer is gone and this is posted as a deal.

not really a deal anymore.

Currys 5% off everything ended before this drone was even released. This hasn't even been posted as a deal and it is still the cheapest current price
I watched a video on YouTube about this drone, three days after acquiring it from Currys directly.

It's not good news.

The class of drone DJI registered this as, plus some law change coming in 2022 means this is an unclassified unit and as such, can't be flown anywhere except in the middle of an empty field. You can't fly in residential areas, anywhere within 50 metres of people, plus the existing rules of not near built-up areas and large crowds.

If this lockdown goes into the software, you won't be able to get this thing off the ground unless you're absolutely nowhere near anything in the rulebook.

Thought I'd give my source.

I'm now weighing up whether I should hand this back to Currys, but the propellers are a little tarnished after my first test run in a park so I've no idea whether they'd even take it back.

it's not a software thing sweatheart, it's a matter of manufacturer marking. All new drones from mid 2020 should be manufactured with special CE marking to meet EASA regulations. All the drones without that certification will be considered as Legacy and will be only allowed to fly on empty fields or within 50m VLOS.
And yes, all drones we have now from 2022 might be and most likely will be considered as obsolete and will drop into C1 category.
Can you jailbreak these?

True but DJI control the pricing on these, there seems little market in cheap Chinese batteries for DJI drones for some reason.

Is that feature much use? If you follow the drone code you should be safe anyway?? The better feature would be class rating so the drone doesn’t become a legacy drone in 2 years time.

Is it ce certified??? Stickers on drone or box

No drones currently meet certification as they haven’t finalised what manufactures need to do to meet certification.
Unfortunately retrospective certification is not possible so the drone will become legacy in 2 years time
What does it actually mean when it becomes legacy? I want to buy a Mavic air two now just for a hobby but worry I won’t be able to fly it at all in two years??

You need to do a bit of research as it can get quite confusing, but anything with the “CE” classification marking will have fly in a “legacy” class when new laws come into play in 2 years time.
You can still fly the drone, but it will be severely limited as to where....pretty much open spaces with no people around only.
Looks like I’m keeping my Mavic Mini for many years to come, sub 250g drone, can pretty much fly anywhere!
