I actually tried this today with my Mavic. Transferred to my phone as a wide panorama but there are apps to create a planet effect.

Here's a little active tracking test I did with my Air last week, 4k 24fps, auto modes, slight colour grading in post.

Set a target to follow my car, put the controller on the passenger seat and drove off, stayed with me until I hit the 20/25mph mark:

Quality wise, better off watching on Youtube at max resolution, but looks decent. I've since got my ND filters so can stick to the 180 rule of shutter speed of 50 while shooting at 24fps, no more stutter and much better colour (that this video portrays).

RE the drone, it's superb I just wish the battery lasted longer. Seems significantly lower than my Phantom 3 when actually flying. You absolutely need 2 batteries, plus you need to let the battery cool before charging ideally so cycling them is important for maintaining battery condition.

That's about how much I could stand losin if the drone is lost.

Look at Xiaomi Mi Drone 4K, it's a brilliant drone, I paid £220 in the end on sale from gearbest using voucher code and cashback. It's very comparable to DJI Phantom 3 and even Phantom 4 I'd say because camera quality is amazing, very easy to fly as well

At that price range you're either buying a dated drone, or a brand that has more risk of falling out of the sky. Dji are leading in consumer drones, and the reported crashes are human error. Maybe buy a dji spark and see how you get on..

Hubsan.

But i wouldn't personally worry about fly aways, i've been using them for years, no issue thus far. To give you an idea of the precision of their return to home, i've flown mine a mile away and on activating RTH it comes back and quite literally lands within 6" of the precise location it took off from.

Xiaomi mi drone 4k is worth a look. Video quality is excellent and features are comparable to DJI phantom 3pro. Support seems good so far with updates etc.

Nice one. I've spent the last week comparing drones and settled on the Mavic air. Just been waiting for the price to drop a bit so I've gone for the combo package. Shame its not on next day delivery with prime :-( Thanks Frank30uk

As listed buddy. If you're shooting a lot of water, get the polarising Vivid Collection, otherwise stick to the Cinema Collection and grade in post.

BTW, for those who don't have decent editing software download Davinci Resolve 14 (free), it'll do most of the editing you need certainly to begin with. Industry standard so loads of YT tutorials:

Polarpro isn't cheap. They do a pack with ND32/64 and PL for each, but I don't see your issue. ND4 is perfectly adequate for cloudy days, ND8 for partly cloudy and ND16 is pretty sufficient for shooting in full UK sun, provided you don't go pointing it at water and expecting not to reduce your EV values.

Do you know much about filters?

If it's the price and you don't want 16 coats of anti-reflective on grade A glass, then go for these at £50:
amazon.co.uk/Pol…SWG

To me, spending 10% on the cost of the drone on improving the optics (presumably 90% of the reason you purchased it) is good value. But if you have a better deal, alert me to it.

Price isn’t the issue, from my research ND16 just isn’t enough for sunny days hence I’m not convinced if these would really do the job.

I agree with everything you say, just wish they would offer you a bigger range of ND values.

And Polar Pro seem to have trillions of different types of them as well. By the time you get the right ones for water etc. you looking at hundreds spent on filters.
Nice find. Hot added. Im still hunting for "fly more combo"

Thanks that looks like a great drone exactly around the price I was looking for. Looking on youtube videos it's better as the legs can fold making it portable and you can replace the gimble if it's damaged.

What voucher codes did you have are they still around?

True, but costs only about £15 to send to service centre in Europe to claim EU warranty (France probably or wherever there service centre is). So, yeah.

I don't think it would matter to people if/when warranty expires...
Plus, CeX and others buy it regardless anyway.

Just from past experience when selling an import camera on gumtree,as soon as anyone asked where it was from they either didn’t want to know or wanted loads of money off as they said they would rather have one that was purchased from a UK store.

And whilst CEX and such like will buy it from you regardless, they pull your pants down on the price they do pay.

Dont get me wrong I’m all for buying cheap stuff from China (less than £100) but I personally would never buy anything this expensive from anywhere but the UK,I’ve had far too many brand new expensive items either be broken straight out the box or have broken within the first 12 months.
