Been on the lookout for a drone for a friend and came across this at Argos

Currently they are offering a free extra battery worth £85 with the Combo or stand alone drone

The fly more combo is already at a decent price but the free extra battery really makes this good value

Deal expires 30th Dec

Merry Xmas!

Seems a pretty good price. I bought mine as a stand alone drone a while back using my staff discount and got the drone for £850 just ashame it wasn't the fly more one
This is a pretty good price for an outstanding drone. There are plenty of YouTube videos to highlight the mistakes that newbies make - recommended viewing unless you want your pride and joy to disappear over the horizon, never to be seen again! This is a serious and heavy duty drone - not a toy by any means. Check out the DJI support/insurance package available via their website - could be a very good investment for when you inadvertently crash with undesired consequences. This is a great drone and a great deal.
great kit, I have the phantom 4 but looking for something smaller

Bought mine as a toy

You get the most out of it when you treat it that way.
Brilliant drone. It's quite unique in terms of what you get. Amazing portability and low profile with very few compromises. Hot!
Bargain I paid 400 more only 3 months ago!
Ultimately will you be using it long term? Do people use them continuously or does the fun fade before the credit card bill?
Ultra portable and fly's great.

Camera is mediocre though. If your after decent video and pics go for the phantom 4 pro.

Even with the camera's shortfalls, it's a lot of fun and I'm glad I purchased it.

Was curious about this too. Guess it depends on your surrounding's. If you have beautiful scenery then I guess it's very rewarding.

I live by Cannock Chase in Staffordshire and the area is really nice and would be nice to fly a drone around, but I've heard people losing them due to losing signal with their drone's flying over the chase. Not to mention you can't fly them in built up areas.

Can you hack the firmware yet to change region to USA so you can unlock the full range?

Weather is a factor. Plus you may get bored of flying in the same place so it kind of makes you travel a bit which is not really a bad thing.

The latest firmware cannot be downgraded. Don't think you'll get the latest firmware on the Mavic if you bought today though, may be in a couple of months.

I have had mine about 4 months and use it as often as I can.

I do a lot of walking and take it with me, and get some great shots of the scenery up here. I took it to Glencoe a few weeks ago and its was excellent flying conditions. I also do a lot of wild camping in Scotland through out the summer months and cant wait to take this with me this summer.

so for me and a definite yes, its worth the money.
Despite the offer supposedly being valid until December 30th, now £1359.00.

Shame on you, Argos!
