Will it be much less noisy than my old mavic pro?
Off topic but I'm also interested in a FPV drone (DJI FPV or Avata) for the sheer fun of it (noisy though!), it's a shame you can't use goggles on the 3 Pro (unless there is a hack for this?) The DJI FPV I think goes 90mph, insane..
Ultimate drone imho = quiet,speedy,sub 250g, good battery, good range, collision sensors all round, propellor guards?, great video/photo, quickshots etc, and FPV - I've yet to come across a DJI that does all of this unfortunately (unless someone knows better?) it's quite a tall order!
It won't avoid anything in Sport mode.
It will avoid obvious objects to the front and rear.

However Luton council have allowed some parks where drones can fly. But be wary of 5km Luton airport rule.
Just be reasonable and if anyone has an issue then accept and move on.
Most the time I actually get people who want to see the photos etc.
I’m happy enough with using my iPhone on my Mini 2 controller.
I definitely think I'll go for the cover - I would probably never fly it for the fear of it flying away.
You can buy the drone with the video screen controller. But you can't use the greater distance hack.
Or you can buy the drone by itself.
Or you can buy the drone with the non -sceeen controller. Which can go a significantly further distance.
Can you fly the drone just with a phone and controls on the phone screen or do you need the non-screen controller? Are they selling the drone solo just in case you already have the controller?

To be honest I just don't bother with it. The one time I needed to get my FPV drone repaired because I snapped a leg off, the whole process took about a week and cost £70.
