It was priced the same as the Go pro but simply isn’t as good as it and wasn’t selling

go on i'll bite how exactly is 30 quid less than launch price dropping like a stone because of some undefined reason you and i doubt anyone else can actually cite given these are amazing action cameras

It’s launch price was £329

And I didn’t say it wasn’t good, I just said it’s not as good as the Go Pro hence the large price drop.

I heard when they were launched that the action to screen lag was considerable compared to the GoPro. I'm not commenting either way - I have a GP Hero 7 Black. My next camera is likely to be the Insta One X or the new 'R' modular version.

£229 is still a lot of camera for the money, but that doesn't stop it being worse than the GoPro. Personally, I have no attachment to a particular brand or any brand loyalty so don't care.

Imo this is just as good as the GoPro Hero 7 Black (I've had both) but I've just got the new GoPro Hero 8 and it beats both of them
I bought one before christmas and its been great. Took on holiday snorkelling, swimmimg in lakes and did amazing. Used on the mtb last weekend and the rockdsteady mode was excellent. Well worth 200 quid
When the DJI was released ppl (YouTube) were recommending this over the Hero7. At the moment the Hero7 Black retails for around £270. So this is the one to get right now.
Or am I missing something?
Gotta be for replacement very soon
I had 2x gopro 7 blacks, first overheated many times, the second would freeze up, forcing you to take the battery out.. (seems common if you google it like I did)

I have one of these, it has a much better interface than the gopro, and it seems most reviewers online prefer this to the gopro.
As one of the posters above says, there are a bunch of these on ebay at £200.... just wondering if there's a compelling reason to go for Argos for the extra 30 quid over those? I'm assuming they're grey imports or whatever, but will the warranties still be valid? Anyone got any experience with the ebay ones? Cheers

That's completely up to you.

Personally i'd rather spend the extra £30 for piece of mind, plus you get all the extra stuff such as warranty, easy return, you can also pick it up immediately and you also know it's come straight from the supplier.

You could also ask to see if John Lewis will price match this and get 2 years warranty from them.

Yeah, solid points, and excellent idea about JL - nice one
price gone back up... I guess it was just a promotion price not a clearance price./
