Great price!
I've already purchased two, one from the Amazon £229 deal and then the other from the Jessops £229 with extras. Still awaiting sending back the Amazon one.

Wondering if I order this and send back the Jessops too

I was just about to purchase on Amazon when I saw this!
Wow
Are these any good? Whats this activation thing that people are moaning about? Is the gopro 8 better for peeps that can afford it?

Image Quality wise pretty similar to GoPro 7 Hero Black but people are complaining a lot about freezing issues on the interface with GoPro and apparently it’s not even fixed with GoPro 8

My Hero 8 is working fine. I’ve used it loads on holiday. The trade in deal (100 off) for £279.99 is a real bargain!
The image stability is unreal. This video sold it for me youtube.com/wat…T5k
Purchased, cracking deal. Heat added, wallet busted, thanks OP

Well I've used one of mine a bit for videos and photos and so far seems pretty good, although I've done nothing to push it limits (riding, climbing, slow Mo etc - just got standard home)

I found the activation straight forward, o believe the reason people are moaning is that you need to download the app on your phone and then setup an account to activate, if you don't after 5 times booting it will not anymore. Once activated you no longer need the app (but this does more like you can also view the videos taken, use it as a remote screen too)

I really do like the front screen, and feel this is something that lets down the go pro 8 quite badly, but I think there could be software updates eventually to fox a issue with it (you can't swap the screen being used whilst taking a video - you have to stop the video to swap).

I've never used a Go Pro before, so hard for me to fully compare, but I do like my Osmo Action if that helps.

You should keep the one you got from Jessops. You got quite a bit extra for that extra £30ish I thinks that Jessops deal was the best Osmo Action deal so far

Yeah maybe, and probably is what I will do, I wouldn't say the accessories are worth the £65 that they put on the rrp though.
Seller increased the price to £249 so it's £199.20 now which is still a good deal but obviously not as good as could have been and therefore less tempting now
Thanks op. Ordered at new price of £199.20 but still a bargain.
Was very tempted by this. But when I went to check it out, there are a lot of reviews on YouTube that highlight many flaws with the device, and the experts generally suggest getting the GoPro Hero7 instead (and it is basically a Hero7 ripoff in many ways). The big selling point, the front screen, has a big delay and the image it shows you is from a second or two ago.

From all the research I found it was better than the 7 but not as good as the 8. Understandably though as its newer and comparing the current price points make it a good deal.
Fyi rrp price increase to 249 less discount 20% now
