To be fair, this is the only one that has even a semblance of a release date. Others do have it for pre-order, but haven't given a concrete shipping window.

In fairness it's a good deal cheaper than the current model so could well save some people £70 or so. Hot deal from me!
If everyone posted deals when a new model with extra features or a price reduction (for example the 2017 iPad dropped in price) the site would be swamped and just become a new product shop window. This is a deals site not a new product showcase!

Hey, if you have problems, you can report it mods and see where it takes you. And just for your knowledge, 2017 iPad was a BRAND NEW iPad, a different generation in addition to a different price. I'd rather have this site swamped with new products available with great features and terrific new pricing than people voting on things and commenting for all the wrong reasons. At the end of the day, internet is free and you can ignore somethings without reacting, commenting, liking here, the same way you would on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit or anywhere else.
10% EXTRA student discount if you have a validated Unidays account!
It is a pity that some people can't get to grips with what this site is about.
There must be an appropriate place for late-to-the-party bores to cut and paste products at the RRP.
No offence to the OP, but this isn't a deal at all.

Asked Mods to review, they've "taken care of it", which doesn't appear to mean much.

Was surprised by the facebook post yesterday as well, some Mothercare baby outfit to make your kid look like a peaky blinder... which was actually quite expensive and at full price. Guess they get paid to post some stuff too.
For that price it better come with a phone..ffs
Absolutely not a deal. Waste of time. Why post something which is just a product launch unless it has some material impact on people

Doesn't work... i have just tried it with unidays....
The irony of this post and the store it's being sold from being that the OSMO is practically unusable with the iPhone due to their interpretation of OIS.

All you'll get is a horrible judder as both solutions conflict with one another. Google it, well documented issue and I don't believe this updated versions fixes that.
I need a gimbal but can't wait u til march for one of these. Any better or relative examples?
Thanks Op, just preordered though my company EAP scheme for £116.40.

I bought a zhiyun smooth q on a Black Friday deal for £99 (normal price £129) and am really impressed with it. The android app leaves a fair bit to be desired (I have not used the ios app) but you don't need the app for most things. I have used it whilst skiing with my Samsung s7 in the gimbal and the footage is excellent. Definitely recommend it. Some people have put some good demos on YouTube if you are interested.

That's a bit (a lot) like saying a selfie stick is an overpriced stick. You can take some seriously good video and special effects with this. It's a BIG improvement over the previous model and a BIG reduction in price. It's a BIG deal in my opinion.

The app isn't necessary if you simply want to use the gimbal to stabilise video footage whilst walking, skiing etc. You just put the phone in the gimbal, turn it on, and use the Samsung (or other) app for taking video. You can still use the joystick to manually pan or tilt the gimbal. The main reason for using the app would be automated control of the gimbal, such as creating a moving timelapse whilst the gimbal is mounted on a tripod. The biggest complaint about the app (check reviews on Google Play) is that the app's built in camera doesn't support 4k video on many devices, including the Samsung s7. Hence to film in 4k you need to use the Samsung video app.

The zhiyun gimbal itself seems excellent, but the app is frustrating. I don't think there's an alternative app that would control the gimbal.

It's not for selfies. It's not for photos at all. It's for video stabilisation with a 3 axis gimbal. It can also pan the camera smoothly and active-track someone or something to keep it in centre frame. Professional filmmakers use these.
If you have access to the Apple Store through an Employee Usage Programme, you can bring the price down to £116.40 when it's released.
As far as I know Apple will be selling this exclusively before anyone else, hence why Apple have a release date.

I going to pre order one of these but a couple of things have come to light that has put me off a bit.

First thing is that you are unable to turn the camera around to face you,the osmo only lets you switch to the front facing camera, which obviously won't be as good as the rear camera on most phones.

Second thing is that you are unable to fit a GoPro to it.I have the smooth Q and because the gimbal will rotate the camera around it enables you to fit a GoPro camera to it.

No problems here buddy
Strange as it will not let me add it.

The add to bag button is in light blue on my screen, indicating you can't select it,it is normally a darker blue when you can.

Here is a screen shot

What would be the point of turning the camera on your phone round to point you? You’d have no idea of what you were filming as the screen would be on the reverse side. Makes much more sense to use the front facing camera as you’ll be able to actually see what your filming. Also there is a GoPro mount adapter for these available for as little as £10 so it can work with a GoPro

The point is that being able to spin the gimbal 360 degrees gives you the option to record using the higher resolution camera on the rear of the phone. My galaxy note can record 4k on the rear camera but only quad HD on the front, also the rear camera is better in low light on most phones. On the smooth Q you can still use the front facing camera and take advantage of using the screen ,but personally I have never had an issue recording myself without the phones screen.

As for the Go pro mount,on the smooth Q you can fit a GoPro without the need for an extra mount, which saves money and it is less to carry around. And is nice to know it is always ready to go for both without any messing around.

Plus I think it is nice that you can record a spinning shot that goes 360.

The advantages of DJI will be that the app will be far better than one on the smooth Q as that one is pants, also the build quality will be far better on the DJI.

Like I said I will order the DJI and compare it and see which i get on with better.

When i looked on the first day of pre order it did say i could add it to the basket, but now it won't let me,and i have tried on a number of devices.
