Good price, but it's been this low at the begining of August, and Osmo Mobile 4 is out now. I own this version and would say that for this price it's still a great deal despite new version being out.
I came across a cheaper chinese brand which was pretty much identical to this for £29.99. I wish I took note of the brand name. Has anyone used these cheaper alternatives and if so, have they been any good?
I've tried them all pretty much. The osmo is great IF you use anything other than a plus size mobile. Phones like Samsung Notes and iPhone Max's are a bit chunky for the motors plus you see the gimbal arm if you use the ultra wide camera.

I think the Zhiyun Smooth Q2 is the best of the pocket size gimbals. Works well on the bigger phones. The Osmo has better software though.

The new osmo 4 has a much better motor than the 3 and the new balancing system is excellent so for a few quid more I'd buy the new version.
Rating for Android app for this is 2.6. I'm out

The price is 139 for the new version.
i wouldnt call 65 increase from 75 is "a few quid more".
almost double price.
Im not too bright why would someone buy this over a cheap Xioami stick for eg for 20 quid
whats the main benefit, its motorized so ??
This is gimbal which is self-stabilising device (avoid shakes while shooting videos) and not a selfie stick.

Xioami stick isn't cheap

the 2 years old OSMO 2 "very good" amazon warehouse is currently sold for 60 quid.
which makes the 1 year old OSMO 3 "very good" amazon warehouse for 79 quid an amazing deal.
This or the zhiyun smooth-4 for an extra £10?

Fair enough, I just tested it. I thought the price was £100! Should have checked. My bad.

The smooth 4 is a much bigger footprint. Depends on how you're going to use it. If size matters, get the Osmo, if not, the Smooth 4 due to its size, give more stable footage in my opinion.

For your defense, DJI kinda killed the accessary free version.
So it's 139 for OM4 vs 119 for Osmo 3 Combo.

App is the same as iOS? Only annoying thing is they have like 2/3 apps and I never remember which one is for my different kit
