Oooh. Was looking at one of these. Thanks OP
Great price, got one of these earlier this year. They make your videos look so much better. The motion timelapse is my favourite feature.

It depends whether you have a human arm or cyborg... jokes to the side..this has a stabilizer and would help capture nice and smooth videos.

Does the built in Optical Image Stabilisation of the iPhone 7 and above work with or against this? Or does it not make any difference?

In theory yes. There are plentiful guides on YouTube showing how to combat it though.

The app is also available for Android, I had a loan of a friends and had it installed and working on my S8+. These are a a great piece of kit, would highly recommend it
If You want to make even better videos. Download Filmic Pro v6 for android. It works with this gimbal and it's perfect for recording movies. Dji Go app is good for tracking etc. But ad far as I know is not recording in 4k for android app. That's why Filmic Pro is better. With new update you can record in flat/log settings for further color grading. I'm using with Galaxy S8 and I have attachment for GoPro 5. With go pro app you can make mirror screen on your phone.

Great deal
I wouldn't recommend these.

We have 3 of these at work, our original 1st gen one works fine. We got two more about 8 months ago and they have been sent back for repair about 5 times between them due to them overheating. Can't fault the returns service though

Bought via amazon or elsewhere, what's the warranty on them and would you recommend an alternative
Would this work well with the Pixel 2?
I have the Zhiyun smooth Q, purchased for about £65 from tomtop which is similar and works very well. Though I suspect the software on this will be MUCH better..
32772037-CSQkh.jpgnot the cheapest its been in the last month, but a pretty decent price - i'm considering it!

Yes, it adjusts to fit different size phones. I used it with an S8+ which took it to around its limit so the Pixel 2 would be fine

I've had that problem 5 times !! Maybe more

They really need to make it more obvious like make the screen go black or something
Use a pringles tube with a slot cut in it..

Does your own Arm not do this?.

You must have one special Arm if it has a six axis gyro that provides cinematic level stabilisation of your smartphone camera. Unfortunately mine does not, so I have to buy a gimbal.
Bad reviews and not worth that money, besides it looks like a paint roller
I am a big fan of DJI - I’ve had about 4 or 5 of their drones now. I got one of these and ultimately sent it back. The video did look great, but the gimbal itself is really cumbersome to use. I found it kept switching off on me and would take an age to start up again. Good idea but I’ll try again when there’s a new model out.
A steal!
