Because I find the app quite fiddly and any added weight like adding a microphone or even a wire to the phone often cocks up the balance. Also recording to your phone in 4k clogs up your memory FAST I have a 128gb memory but a day's shooting with this will do that in.

Its good price for this but for another £100 you could get phantom 3 and use as hand held gimbal
You also have camera drone and 2,7 k camera

Carrying a drone round to use it as a gimbal doesn't sound very practical :\

cold... You should get the Smooth Q from tomtop it at £107
but price goes up and down it was just over £80 a few weeks ago

Have this gimbal. Doing the job. Dji app is quite bad but for making movies I'm using Filmic Pro v6. App works with gimbal so it's very usefull. Plus you can set settings to flat/log. Hopefully they will update Dji App for android.
