Osmo Mobile 2 seems to look better than this but for those who like to have removable battery, metal and Type C.

Also, iPhone users complaining that Osmo mobile 2 and iPhone both trying to stabilise the video making things worse.

sorry- i should have been clearer. was trying to say that its much of a financial deal if the new version is basically the same price. i'm sure dji will issue a software fix if people are having stabilisation issues but i recently took mine into the pyrenees and filmed loads with no issues. you have me intrigued though and i will have a look online at what people are saying.
Haven't a clue with these things but would this work with my Galaxy s7 and GoPro 5? I need something to keep the cameras steady for my Youtube videos as I've just noticed I'm a little shaky lol

Do you own one? Sorry to be a pain but rather hear from the horses mouth how they work lol. I'm just doing more car videos and when I do like intro scenes of slow moving of the car I feel its not smooth enough. This months YT earnings should pay for it so might as well treat myself.
How long does the battery last? I see above one you can remove the battery and one you can't, is that really an issue?
I have the V2, it's great, battery life definitely 8 hours plus and so far has met my expectations (using with a Oneplus 5).
I recently got one from Apple (V2). This seems to be a great price for V1 though as they are usually more expensive. V1 has removable battery’s which may be useful to some and a 1/4” mount to the side which is again useful for mounting in cars and mounting Mics (now on the bottom for V2).

I decided to go for the Osmo 2 due to its price mainly. I have bought some accessories for it so I can mount a Rode Mic. Nice set up. Works well with Filmic Pro app for total customisation on iPhone X.

There can be issues with stabilisation with the two fighting each other. Depending on how you shoot (myself is occasional travel videos and vlogs) depends are obvious it is. I will say, having it is still better than not if you want smoother more professional and cleaner footage.

When I get some moment lenses. I’ll be ready to shoot blockbuster movies. Haha.

Check out the movie Unsane. It was directed by Steven Soderbergh and was shot with an iPhone 7 Plus in 4K high bit rate log format on Filmic Pro with the DJI Osmo Mobile 2.

For those interested in my set up. Took me a while to find these stuff. Based on amazon reviews went and purchased them.

**********

The lightning charger/aux splitter (ideal shape and size compared to the Apple/Belkin and a lot cheaper):

—————————

Rode VideoMic Pro (seems to be much better audio compared to the cheaper Rode models so thought I will invest):

Rode VIDEOMICPRO | On Camera Microphone amazon.com/dp/B00YAZHRZM?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

———————————

Rode VideoMic Pro SC4 Adapter for phones with no Aux Jack. (This model is needed for the Pro version. It may differ for other mic models):

They both have pros and cons. In the end I opted for the DJI Mobile 2 for the sake of £30. Reviews tend to favour the DJI for overall build quality and software. The Zhiyun app has been given unfavourable reviews in comparison to DJI’s.

For the price though. The Smooth Q is a great Gimbal. Check out some reviews on YouTube for the both.

S7 yes. I also think you can get an adapter for the Go Pro. Give it a google and check.

The two Negative reviews are not at fault with the DJI Osmo but infact the iPhones that use OIS. The hardware based stabilisation conflicts with the Osmos. Unfortunately you can not disable the OIS on the iPhones. So not so much DJIs fault. Use an older iPhone without OIS or an android phone and you won’t have the Jittery issues. I still use mine with my iPhone X and make do with fixing in Post.

That's exactly my point in an elaborated form. It's the iPhone's OIS.

Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a way around it. Other than shooting very carefully with limited smooth movements. Perhaps implementing slow motion shots and finalise in post. If you practise and research best ways to hold and love the gimbal carefully as well as the ‘ninja walk’. You can get great results regardless. ✌🏼
