hubby?

I'm so tempted by this and they day isn't over yet!

12 months interest free plus the £50 off!! Ordered, wife is going have my guts for garters !!! Thank you

Still a lot of money for it to sit in the cupboard for 99% of year.

Its a good price but i still want to save and buy a Mavic. This looks like a beast to carry

I've just got the parrot beebop 2 and wow what a toy......they are great fun

The advance model is the one you want, and has been cheaper Amazon fulfilled in past than this.
It's a decent quad still.

I'd love a mavic, but can't justify ditching my blade chroma for it, barely use it at the moment!

Also batteries are very expensive still - won't get much change from £100, not sure you can get 3rd party ones for the phantom.

same code works for dji spark as well .. probably with all dji products

It's why I love my Mavic. Can carry three batteries, controller & the mavic in a small 'man bag'. The one that comes with the fly more combo.

Having checked online it does indeed work for ALL DJI drones, phantom 3, 4 Spark single and combo and Mavic single and combo

Get the Spark. Does almost everything the Mavic Pro does and 1080p video is more than good enough. It's small enough to be mistaken for a toy drone so you don't get asked as many questions, attract as many watchers or for that matter, generate as much interest from customs at airports. It's just as stable and weather/wind resistant as the MPro and of course, cheaper.

Is the final footage jerky because of the way it balances and the gyroscopes work? I have seen many youtuber's complain that the footage is not smooth when doing transitions or side on following?

Thanks in advance

For me, yes. Most people won't mind it though, and you can edit the footage if needed.. Keep in mind I've had all DJI consumer drones from the Phantom3 upwards (3, 4, Mavic, Spark).

If you're just looking for a drone to play with - get you some new sights and wanting to fly then the Spark Fly More Bundle is what you want.
I consider the Spark more of a toy than a proper drone. However, the Spark is probably the best starter drone with the fly more bundle. My Mum, for example, can fly all the drones, but the Spark is the easiest for her to use. She probably uses it once a month.
If you have the spare money and can afford the upgrade the Mavic is, for me, the best consumer drone on the market right now.

My advice for people just getting a drone would be to take it into a field and just practice flying. Going backwards, forwards, side to side, spinning it around etc. They're easy to fly, but if something goes wrong and you need to take control, knowing your directions and knowing how to control it properly will pay off.

Been after a drone for a while now. I'd love one of these but have heard good things about the Mavic too.
Still undecided.
Does anyone know if the Mavic has 'follow me' and 'return to home' modes?

Thing is...the Mavic is very expensive.

It definitely has return to home feature and has three functions, Smart, Low Battery and Fail-safe and then it has what is called Active Track which is similar to what others call follow me. If it helps the user manual for it is on Argos site under code 6259381 and it's the second PDF on their page.

Got one of these free when one landed in my garden hitting my dog.

Dog was fine by the way.

He showed up for it but i refused to give it him. I believed he was using it to spy on people in the area (it was being flown at roof top level in a residential area). Just told him if he wants it back to contact the police, he never did.

I would try and find a Phantom 3 Advanced as it comes with DJI’s Lightbridge technology. Basically this means that the range is much greater on the Advanced.

Is the range hugely bigger?

OP When is the discount code valid until? Is it stated in your email? Thanks

The range on the Standard is meant to be half of the Advanced. The thing is when flying your drone in parks and fields the range of all drones can be limited by local WiFi interference. The extra range on the Advanced will definitely be noticeable in real world use.

I looked at the spark last night but seems to have a big problem with fly aways and lack of control / no manual atti, and even more worryingly the response from DJI seems to be send us your flight data, and that's it. Something to do with compass calibration not matching GPS, and dropping connection.

Thinking of sticking with my spektrum dx6i it's tried and trusted and not a single fly away with the blade chroma reported. Thought of the drone flying within legal boundary, and then sodding off for a mile and hitting someone is scary. They then sue you. It's why I never put my personal info on the quad.

Told him to contact the police and he could tell them what he was doing flying it so low in a residential area. If he didn't contact the police that's not my problem.

Why? Does she control spending of your own hard earned money?

I can never understand blokes who say they are scared to buy things cos their wives will not be happy? Surely.if it's your money you can buy what the neck you want.

Thank you for such a great detailed response , Guess I'll get the Mavic.
