No.
Edit: Currently just heaps of common sense! There are rules & regs of course!

you can buy it in bulgaria for 125 euro! people think! does plastic thiny bob can cost £4oo quid??? NO WAY!
my only advice would be to check out the new Hubsan first banggood.com/Hub…tml

it is getting a lot of excellent reviews and at a very good price point, lots of talk about it here

I agree with chuckiedoll: just common sense needed.
The fun police still havent got their teeth into drones properly yet, but i'm sure they will do so eventually. In the meantime this is a good price for a phantom3 with a backpack.

It's also available without the backpack and with no quidco at £395 from SLRhut.co.uk
This is the RRP at the moment, along with the Advanced being £699
Got one. It's great and sooooo stable for photography.
I dont think theres any gimbal on the hubsan so the video is bound to end up being much less smooth. Half the price though of the phantom though so i suppose it depends what you're looking for.
I was looking at getting one of these at Christmas but the weather was bad, so thought I would wait a bit.
Can any one tell me please, if a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge would be suitable to pair with this to use the Live View function?
So I attach it to the free backpack, put the backpack on my back and then I can take off?! X)

It's a good drone, but not really comparable as the Phantom gives you way better quality footage and has:

- 2.7K Camera
- Image stabilization gimbal
- DJI GO mobile app is superb
- Smart flight features (Return to home, boundaries, live no fly areas, waypoints, circle around etc)
- UK support
- Much more stable in the air

Go and see the video footage from the hubsan on youtube, its distorted as heck.

With 5% cashback, you're actually paying £427 + the £70 rrp of the backpack.

The question you have to ask yourself is do you risk £27 for no backpack and it being a grey import so potentially no warranty? You can tell it's grey by the pricing. Anything under the same as DJI sell it for isnt an official supplier.

If they don't stick to DJI pricing then they are not official DJI sellers. Hence why grey and warranty concerns come into play.

Yes it works great, but I upgraded to a Nvidia Shield as its a bigger screen
Hubsan has 300m range, DJI Phantom standard has over 1km...
What's the difference between the standard and advanced apart from the camera, also would you say this or inspire- which is good for cinematography

The standard does not have Lightbridge only wifi, which limits the range on the standard for FPV and distance to fly..

Nah, but you won't find for less than £40 or £50. Still too niche.

Not supposed to fly them out of sight anyway. Because they are white they can be hard to keep track of. You can get multicoloured body stickers to make them much more visible.
Also beware cheap Chinese rip offs of Phantoms and supposed DJI batteries.

The 'grey import' phantoms will still get warranties via DJI Europe. Check on the official DJI forum for reports from users. Even SLRHut buyers have posted they have been had quick turn around from DJI Europe.

The retailer should deal with that though, a few minutes scouting around google led me to find loads of complaints about SLRHut after sales support which seems to be none existent. You shouldn't have to end up sending your drone to Europe out of your own pocket, by law, anything bought from a retailer has a 1 year warranty with that retailer, not the manufacturer. Seems like DJI are having to pick up after the grey sellers. Just seems a little shady that's all. I wouldn't rate it.

Thought it was limited to 500m in UK?

Still a cracking price, although given DJI's sh*t customer service, I'd happily forget the backpack and buy from amazon.

Yes definitely. Have hubsan x4, syma x8c and tarantula x6 and gimbal.
Having control of the camera and being able to view what you are shooting is so much better. Its so stable as well. I took it out the other day and the wind had it flying at an angle. The footage was still good and level.
