DJI Spark Drone – Sky Blue
The DJI Spark offers a variety of intelligent flight modes for smart, intuitive control.
ActiveTrack lets you select your subject, such as a runner, and track them as they move for a smooth, professional-style video.

You can make precise movements such as circle around your subject, ascend with the camera pointing downward, fly backward and upward with the camera locked on your subject, or fly upward while spiralling around your subject.

Capture brilliant videos and images with the high-performance camera. You can get creative with panorama and shallow focus photo modes.

The Spark offers several safety features so you can fly with the knowledge that your drone is safe. FlightAutonomy analyses the environment to let the drone hover accurately, sense obstacles, and land safety.

The Return to Home (RTH) function means if the battery gets low, connection is lost, or you select the RTH button, Spark will safely fly back to the preset home point.

Flight Protection alerts you if you fly near places where drone flights may raise safety or security concerns, such as airports or stadiums, helping you fly responsibly. _____________________________________________________________

DJI Spark Controller

Pilot your DJI Spark drone with ease, thanks to the DJI Spark Controller. It features left and right toggle controls that makes steering easy. Its WiFi transmission system can control your aircraft from a maximum range of 1.2 miles.
The Spark controller can connect to a mobile device wirelessly, and display a live video feed of what your Spark drone sees via the DJI Go4 app for iOS and Android devices. A battery life of 2.5 hours gives you plenty of time to fly before you'll need to recharge its battery.

Love a good drone deal, I got the Xiaomi Mi Drone 4k for £240, which no other drone comes close to for value. Heat though.

Anywhere else price matching this?
Is this the fly more combo?
The Fly More package is available from DronesForLess for £489 which is much better value.

Voted hot though as it's a great price for the Spark and controller.

Wanted to get a drone for a while now.... Looked at this but the 16 min flying time is putting me off. Are they all generally around this max time ?

No. Just the Spark and Controller.

I'm not sure about other manufacturers but with DJI if you want longer flights times you need to look at the Mavic rage. These are more expensive though.

Ideally get a Fly More bundle which comes with more than one battery. 16 minutes of flight for the Spark is unlikely. More like 12 minutes per battery.
I got the Mavic Pro from DJI’s eBay store for 699 a couple of weeks ago. Having had both I’d say it’s definitely worth putting the extra 150 in for the Pro. Significantly better camera, more fly time and feels way more premium. Worth a look. This is a good starter one though if you’re looking to get in to it.
Really tempted by this, I was planning on getting the Spark + controller from the DJI store with a student discount, however thats since disappeared.

Don't want to spend a fortune and the Spark seems like it'd be great as a first drone. Not sure if its worth getting this, or the fly more combo for an extra £73 from DJI though.

The mavic pro platinum is 30 minutes and the mavic air is around 18 minutes I believe.
I can't make my mind up as to buy the mavic pro platinum or the mavic air, watched tons of videos and reviews but still can't decide, 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Cheaper than the Mavic pro
Great price, heat given. But if you can afford one then get a mavic pro, I've got one, great drone imo

Yeah I'm thinking that, it's just the noise that puts me off the mavic pro platinum is apparently a lot quieter, also the WiFi connection is putting me off, although all the reviews I've read haven't mentioned it being a major issue.

Carrying that around is a hassle. The smaller drones are the way forward.

The Spark Air ((aka mavic air!)) is a more portable and slightly more technically advanced update compared to the mavic pro, if you do not mind the reduced flight time for a single battery use, of around 15 mins, the advanced features slot the mavic air nicely into a mid value slot.

Good call, it is very likely that the newer software ic with apas will appear on the Mavic Pro 2 / Mavic 2 and / or the P5, it is very, very useful and in real world use ((other than the mavic air naff battery life)) compares to the adaptive flying features on the inspire 2 offerings

I know what you mean I bought the phantom 3 for £350 brand new on a recent offer but had to return as it would have been too much to carry around when travelling. This is the best value for a portable drone so far. Hoping somewhere like jessops will price match as they do 0% finance over 12 months.

Mavic Pro all day
Don't like the fact that the range is crippled in the UK in these compared to US, and too many reports of fly away for my liking. Only reason I may get a mavic is spares and batteries for my cheapo spektrum blade chroma are rare and expensive, but nothing DJI make is as reliable as the DSMX spektrum radio.

I've had the Spark, Pro (non-platinum) and now the Air.

The Spark is fantastic, a truly brilliant starter drone. Very well made, very easy to control and a great introduction.

I then got an amazing deal on a Mavic Pro which made me switch, the Pro really is a step up. Occusync is great for range, and the LCD on the controller is nice to have. However, I didn't have the option to buy DJI Care Refresh or have any DJI warranty (purchased second hand) and felt the Gimbal was way too fragile for my liking, and I didn't want to risk damaging it - there's a lot of reports of this on the internet!

When the Air launched, I went for that - it's a great piece of kit, the size is brilliant and the Fly More Combo includes 3 batteries and everything else you'd be likely to need, but it's limited by WiFi range - having said that, the CAA regulations stipulate you should only fly within line of sight anyway, so that shouldn't be an issue.

There is a lot of restrictions on where you can fly drones in the UK, I would love one but not sure I'll ever be in the middle of nowhere enough make use of it. Where do you use yours?

This is the same price with DJI's website, as they are giving free controllers if you buy spark. And you can also get 10% off if you have a student email.

To be honest, in fields and stuff like that at the moment. I'm hoping to use it more at the seaside etc.

Any large and open area, really.

Can you not fly in your back garden? Or the park
I just got one of these today from JL - 2 years warranty and £579 for the flymore pack, which comes with what this is plus an additional battery and a three cell charger.

I was torn too between the Mavic Pro and Air.

I actually ordered a Pro then released I could get a spark for effectively half the price and considering it would be my first drone this is the path I followed.

It is a cracking wee drone.

I was concerned about the range having read all the negativity about the Air but having clone it today 120ft up is a hell of height when you look at this little drone.

I got some cracking photos too and know I still have a lot to learn.

As a first drone, from a first time user, this is a really cool bit of kit.

Where did you get that for £240? I just paid £333 and I thought I got a good deal!

EDIT - I just saw the Black Friday deal! That price is insane!!!! I would have loved to get it at that price. I was looking at the mavic air but the hassle of taking them abroad seems like to much hassle. In Barbados you can't even take it into the country let alone fly. For that reason I bought the mi drone as it's cheap and I'm not worried about size at this price.

I managed to get 2.3km out of it before chickening out. No signal loss at all. You could then hear it coming back about 0.6km away
