That would make you a bit of a scumbag. Buy it, use it on Holiday, then sell it on eBay. That would be a better idea.

No code needed, this was added to the tittle by admin.
Just reserve online, pay in store and the discount will be applied. Or don’t reserve and just call in store.

Great price for those with an NUS card

Just been in store and Maplin have changed to 5% for nus extra confirmed by manager. Just FYI

Went on Facebook chat earlier and NUS is 5%, NUS extra is 10%.
So not sure why they told you that.

You need to register it to fly.

So not sure how you can return it, unless you want to just take it on holiday and not use it.

I phoned through and they double checked (this is after I purchased it), there is only a single tier student discount and it is 5%. They used to offer 10% but it changed.

I'm happy to be corrected but after speaking to the manager and getting a second opinion from their customer service, they are sure there is only a 5% discount.

I used NUS on Sunday and got 10%

on their website
maplin.co.uk/cus…ons

Was it off a Spark? And which store was it?

My mate actually got 10% off a Fly More Combo today using NUS (10%) although there was some confusion. When I got Spark on Sunday there was a ticket price of £599 but on system came as £699. Today mate went in and got Spark and system showed £699 then he showed mail flyer. When they put through system they said they could apply 2 discounts. The manager had to call head office to confirm 599 less 10% discount so that it could go through although they couldnt apply the £10 over £100 purchase discount

SNAP.

They had to ring customer services to make sure they could apply the NUS discount too. Final price was £539. (No extra £10 off for spending £100)

But the discount for NUS extra is 10%

Soooo tempted, but I can't imagine I'd get to take full advantage of it very often, due to the UK laws. It'll probably end up sitting there in its box, sadly. Flying around inside the house will soon lose its appeal. So tempted though...

What’s the chances this will be cheaper on Black Friday? Very tempted.

Tempting after trashing my mavic, but unfortunately, I can't go into a store as out of the country at the moment. Shame it's not available as an online deal too.

You still can't fly in house or garden if your in a restricted zone. The software won't let you.

went to my neighbourhood maplin
- they have it in stock
- they are aware of the promotion
- they have the promotion going until 3rd of Nov
- they have 10% discount on nus extra
- they don't honour the nus extra discount on promotional item (i.e. this one...)

... saved myself 600 pounds!

Seems to vary depending on the store. I got the 10% off.

I Wondered this. I'd guess it will be the same price but not cheaper.

The manager in the store I was in seemed to know what he was talking about and said that the reason it isn't on the website is because of the DJI pricing in the UK and they can't offer it online because of the other suppliers not being happy. It was on the website the other week at this price and was taken off.

Think I may buy one today. Anyone bought the DJI refresh at £59?

Is it possible to use a friends NUS card or do they need to be there in person?

Yes it will. Flew mine round my mates house on Saturday.
Certain restricted areas just ask you to fly with caution, but yes some areas , IE over Olympic stadium, you just cant fly. But for £20 you can download software to remove even that restriction.

What laws would prevent you using it properly? I use mine all the time

I used wife's card, they are happy as long as there is a card presented, didn't care if card owner was there.

I also wondered the same thing - can purchase it within 48h of drone activation. suggestions anyone?

ya, went to another store today and they honoured the nus extra discount
also - they now offer free SD card for every dji drone purchase.

There were some vouchers attached to the receipt too
- £3 off £35
- £7 off £75
which can be used 24 hours after issue...

I think I will use the £3 off voucher tomorrow to purchase the DJI Refresh card unless I find something to spend extra £16 on.

Amazon seems to be the cheapest place to buy extra battery now - provided you have the £5 off voucher from amazon gift card in store topup to bring the price down to £45.

I’ve ordered a battery from tomtop. It was £37. Just got to wait for it to come from China.

Not sure really. I’ve had a few things from tomtop when they use the EU warehouses. They have always been spot on so thought I’d risk it from China this time.

Bought the fly more yesterday from Crayford and they gave me £110 off. Well pleased nice bargain and well pleased with the Spark it is a brilliant Drone and hopefully won't attract too much attention like my Phantom 4 did. Why do people look and stare with fear in their eyes when they see a proper drone? I presume they have something to hide. I blame the media for giving drones so much bad press. :-(

I recently sold my phantom 3, was planning to buy a mavic. However, for the same reasons you have stated I am considering a spark. Seem to have a lot of negative press. Only thing putting me off is the wifi connection it uses.

NUS 10% off Worked for me eventually, store in Manchester rang customer services and they said no, so went to store in wigan an hour later and they rang customer services and they said yes. So got Spark in lava red fly more combo pack and a free 32gb sd card all for £539. Very happy and thanks to all those that posted on this thread.

£499 now, for the fly more combo, for those that didn’t bite before. £450 with NUS discount!!
