I fly DJI Drones. The controller is a must for all drones, even toys, its almost impossible to control a camera drone with the phone. Remember this is a camera drone, one where you would need to try and create great cinematic video or Photos, you need the best control possible. Also you are limited to range with phone only.

Something doesn't smell right about this deal.......
Ordered plenty of things from them in the past and they're fine but a little slow on dispatch.

I concur, all experiences with them been good for me with the higher value items they've sold.
It doesn't mention if it comes with the controller or not? How much would one cost to purchase in addition to the drone please?

edit... about £115 pounds from the UK it seems.

It's £130 cheaper than most places are selling it for so it's safe to assume it doesn't come with a controller. That said you can control it via the app.

A dedicated controller will set you back £120.
Thanks

Nope I don't. I think it's adds range, control and a bit more versatility.

Probably worth trying it with the app first and see how you get on or check out some of the YouTube reviews.

Remember this drone also has gesture control and can land in the palm of your hand etc.
No doubt its better with the controller but if all you are doing is tapping the phone screen to tell it to film a helix, tap and fly or to enable follow me then the app is fine. If you are performing full scale videography then you might well not be able to live without the controller.
Controller is £85 from eglobal central, I ordered a smooth Q gimbal from them last week and it was delivered few days, no import duty and no bother. I am considering this as it woks out at about £373 all in. You can get the fly more package at global for £440 but I am not sure I need the other stuff right now.

IBood are OK but slow delivery and the products are sometimes in different languages, not ideal for computers but for this there would not be an issue.

Thanks, I did read also that the Drone batteries take ages to charge if you just plug it in, like over 4 hours so the charging hub is necessary too plus a back up battery? Wonder what the warranty would be like, buying from Eglobal?
good price but I don't trust that company
likely grey market import too, so no warranty help

also only 1080P video - not 4K
I see now why it's cheap

I cannot understand why people come and complaint here....

What do you expect for 277.9... 4K video and premium drone.

Its excellent deal and product for money, entry level drone with all the features which you want!

Heat added and ordered one.

I know people who have got DJI drones from eglobal and have registered them fine but I guess it's a personal choice on if you think there is a risk. I got a Mavic from abroad and bought the DJI care refresh cover for £100 for the year, I see no reason why you could not do the same for the Spark and it costs £59.00, this would give you cover if you crash etc.

The charge hub only charges multiple batteries, one at a time (I have it for the Mavic) but does not charge any quicker. I do not have a Spark (yet) but I doubt it takes 4 hours to charge a battery as they are usually around an hour each.
Gave in and ordered. Thanks OP, have some heat
Given how useful the controller is, I'd much rather get the Fly More combo from Amazon for £450 which includes the controller, two extra batteries and a bag as well plus that's proper UK spec drone with no after sales issues.

Got a link? Thanks

It was at Amazon but looks like it has expired:

hotukdeals.com/dea…938

Currys have the Spark and controller for £450 although not as good a deal as it doesn't have the extra batteries or case:

currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

The Scan deal for £480 for the fly more pack also seems to have expired:

hotukdeals.com/dea…139

It's possible the prices for fly more will come down again particularly with the new Mavic Air out.
