It's a decent speaker but it is very boomy which is not what you want sometimes as vocals can be lost, haven't voted either way as I guess it depends if that's what you want or not
Edited by: "SammyNib" 25th Aug 2018
Struggling to believe the specs, 10h playback on a 50w speaker, assuming that is volume level one? At this kind of money surely you would go down the bose route?

It's more refined than the JBL Extreme/2 but then the extreme is extremely boomy. In testing this is also louder and more controlled at less than half the price of the JBL. Or you could go for the Vifa Oslo if you've got £400 going spare.

A have owned one and I think on certain songs it sounds great and on others it doesn't work as well, just my opinion though, sound is all subjective

Yeah the Bose revolve would eat this up, but it is nearly 3x the price

So not comparative then? That's why I mentioned the vifa Oslo, I knew someone had to compare this to a £300/400 speaker. This would eat any sub £200 Bose speaker for breakfast without going to full volume.

Not the best comparison as they are very different speakers, one being super portable the other more of a boom box

Yeah I know that's why I said the Bose costs way more didn't say it was worth the extra money. I agree this is a decent speaker but I don't think it is definitely the best at this price, but as I said sound is complete personal preference =)

Well I think it comes down to different speakers having different uses, so I agree this is the best boombox for the price but there are other speakers for similar money that do different things better, such as -

Minirig 2/ mini - Super small, insane battery life + expandable options with linking and the subwoofer.

IKEA Eneby - Bigger, no battery, perfect for a kitchen or home speaker.

UE speaker range - Not as good audio, but waterproof and super rugged, great for a festival or camping.

It all comes down to what the speaker is going to be used for imo, to ensure you are getting something that will fit is use case.

I stopped taking you seriously the moment you mentioned UE, and a mono speaker that cost's £125... Ohh yeah, but you could buy 2 minirig's and a sub woofer, to go with them for £450. Your not just wriggling mate, you must also be a juggler with all those portable minirig's.

Your comparisons make no sense whatsoever, they ether sound terrible or over priced.

Like I said... Nice try mate.

Spend some time on the clavitjunkie YouTube channel. Gives some in-depth reviews on almost everything Bluetooth speaker. Very knowledgeable guy.

Great someone will come along and buy this for their next camping trip only for it to break as it's not durable in the slightest, or as a new kitchen speaker when they could get much better sound by buying mains powered for cheaper, no speaker fits every need mate, I can tell you've bought this though and that's why you are not open to hearing other options though so I'll just give up, at least someone may see my other options and it will save them.

Yeah I agree he is good, but even better try and listen to them in person, people hear sound differently from each other, so it's a very personal thing!

What are you on about now? Next you'll be telling us that you work for the BSI, it sounds like you tested this speaker rigorously by bashing your head against it for a sustained period.

I don't how you can't comprehend what I'm saying, it's not difficult to understand And when I got it I played multiple music tracks through it, and deemed that it's way way way too overtuned for bass that it ruins everything else, so it got instantly returned, you obviously haven't heard any good quality speakers before.

Really, ok then.

I have the soundlink mini, it's absolutely brilliant. Love the fact that I can use it as a high quality conference phone too.
DADSCAB25/08/2018 20:33

and what funny about it?
I deleted it because it contained wrong info.
I thought it's one of those Chinese brands such as many rubbish Chinese brands of headphones that get posted here and recive heat here just because "they work" and are cheap.

I've tested 10s of bluetooth speakers,so after realising it's from a German company and is well reviewed,I ordered one to test at home myself.
I have Bose Revolve Plus currently which I found to be the absolute best among 10+ good bluetooth speakers, including various Harman Kardon models, other Bose models, various JBL models,Denon,Sony and Anker speakers.so will see how this one compares.
How does this sound compared to the Bose soundlink mini?

You didn't need to delete your comment, a simple apology would have done, and then maybe a thank you or thumbs up for pointing you in general direction of a decent (imo) deal. But you never did either.

That's the problem with this site, too many people are too quick to jump in with their size 10 Hobnail boots and slag a deal of, often without the correct information. Maybe you'll experience this personally someday, when you've posted more than one deal.

I think you are still a bit confused, why do you think I need to apologise?
I delete it just because it contained incorrect information about this brand of speaker.and I don't want to mislead others.
or maybe I should have apologised from DOCKIN company, since I said they they were poor quality Chinese brand but then I bought their speaker and removed that incorrect comment
this is a deals forum, and people are entitled to their opinion, and the last time I cheked, there was no requirement of posting a deal for commenting on others deals.so don't get carried away, just because I removed a comment.
So on that basis, if I hadn't pointed out that you were talking rubbish, your comment would have still been on the post, misleading people.

I just thought might have removed it to stop yourself looking like a bit of an idiot, But your doing just fine. You're welcome.

BUT I'm not like you,and I don't get burned feeling down somewhere just because someone made negative comment on a deal I posted.
