    IMO, after owning one other dock and a hub, the deck dock is definitely the way to go. It's almost seemless and gets regular hardware updates. It fits really well and it basically creates a switch like plug and play. I'm using the usb hub + hdmi upstairs and the dock downstairs on the main TV. Playing the same game I can disconnect, play portable then connect upstairs and carry on. It's brilliant!

    Definitely is one of the essential gadget you need for the Deck. I have Windows 10 installed in SD card, so the dock also connects to the keyboard mouse, haven't actually tried to game from Windows on a SD card, not sure on how well it performs.

    Btw, recently came across a tip to increase the UMA bios setting from 1gb to 4gb, this supposed to help games running in Windows, but also read improvement in SteamOS which I thought handles that automatically. Well with trying

    Can't comment on this one specifically but the Jsaux dock has been a complete gamechanger for me and I'm selling my laptop because I'm using it so rarely now. Highly recommended.

    There are SO many of these out there now, but I really don't think you can whack the Valve one. I've had a few before it, but it is just better - and the updates give me faith it'll stay useful. It's more expensive, but it comes with an OEM charger too.

    What is better with the Valve dock please? Really curious.

    Also, isn't the Dock charger only 45w? I could be wrong, that only charges the Deck but not some devices, like external HDD. Thanks

    I bought the official dock from Steam for £79 which comes with it's own PSU. Was meant to receive it today, but because Parcelforce it never arrived, lol.

    there's always something better on the horizon. Valve are saying that the iGPU is likely to be the same and that the CPU with either be the same or similar. that's enough for me to be happy with what I've got

    it took over a year for the pre-order on the steam deck to get to customers, I've not reason to think the same wouldn't be true of the SD2

    OK guys please introduce me and illuminate to the wonders of the Steam deck?!?I want all the swallable knowledge there is about it and become a Steam Jedy! I'm a father of 3 kids who was about to splash till 3K for a dam gaming laptop but after having seen the improvements of CES 2023 now I'll have to wait for a newer better one..thus my gadget restringent waiting frustration will consume my soul in the waiting for it...don't have a gaming console and my wife has taken control of my best laptop!I need a technology surrogate life-problems-sort-them-all now!!
    Irony included aside,give me all use cases and a reason to buy!
