Many new laptops/tablets now come with USB-C ports. USB-C hubs used to be quite expensive but they are now coming down in price. This one has the following:

- 3x USB 3.0 ports (5 Gbps)
- HDMI port (up to 4K UHD 3840x2160)
- VGA port
- Gigabit ethernet port
- Power delivery (i.e. if your device charges through the USB-C port you can plug the charger into the hub and it will charge the device while the hub is connected - useful if your device only has one USB-C port)

Note that your device needs to support the right USB-C protocols in order for HDMI, VGA and power delivery to work. No drivers needed for OS X or Windows 10.

N.B. Please check the description on the website as some devices are not compatible. Delivered from China but I got mine within a week. I am using it successfully on a Dell Latitude 5175 tablet. If you can't wait then it is also available from Amazon for £39.99.

**Edit: don't forget to add the $2 off seller coupon which should reduce the price further**

Could have stated that it's £39.99 at Amazon. I thought it was £29.47 and was going to give it a go.

Woops, my bad. Skipped over the pricing in the OP.
Have you tried it with all the ports connected? No sudden drop outs?
Should be tapping the power from the PD port. I do not expect power issues for connected devices
(in theory)!!!!!

No, I haven't tried with all simultaneously. I've tried ethernet and Power Delivery and HDMI together and it works OK but I suspect the current isn't sufficient to run all USB ports with power intensive devices. Also, I think power delivery is limited so should be fine with a tablet or small laptop but may not work with a 15" laptop (although that should have more ports anyway).

Edit: I should clarify, I mean power delivery may not charge a larger device but the ports would work just fine.

That's a pretty good deal, it's not quite as full fledged as my thunderbolt 3 dock in the office but it is a third (with coupon nearly a quarter) of the price I paid and has just about all the functionality it can have.

Incidentally I recommend picking up a Dell TB15, once you add some vents and heatsink the chips inside it's totally fine. It's also super cheap, roughly £100 total for the most full-fledged Thunderbolt 3 dock out there.
