Hi before you go off and vote cold here me out.

Yesterday I was in poundland where I seen they where selling Dog Harness for £1 these ones can be used for taking the dog for a walk or for sitting a dog in a car. These are very strong there there same material of car seat belts.

I have took my Staffordshire Bull Terrier for a few walk with it and he seems happy with it on it has also stopped him pulling me down down the street. Also there better than them poor made ones you can get for cheap on ebay as I got one and as soon as I got it on my dog he pulled it and its snapped in half witch then resulted in him running in the main road and being run over. Luckily he was ok and come away with just a few scratches.

good deal if available in all poundlands

Wouldn't personally recommend using a chest harness on a dog in a car. Last time mine managed to get himself tangled in the seat belt trying to wriggle out of it and damaged his shoulders. Could be good for walks though and lets face it, cant moan at the price.

Much better than a collar as you can control the dog without pulling on their necks. Our dog has had harnesses since she was a puppy

I got one of these for the WIFE, we love it.
Great for nights in with her chewing on a Ping pong ball.

I have one of these. My labrador can get out of it in seconds.:?

Listen guys, these things are essential if your dog travels in the back seat - they will save not just the dog in the event of an accident, but the people in the front who the dog would slam into.

If your dog is able to wriggle out of it: you either have the wrong size of harness, or you haven't adjusted the straps properly, or you've bought a badly designed one.

Mine didn't wriggle out of the harness, wrapped himself up in the seat belt instead. Purcahsed a dog guard for the boot from Aldi for a tenner. Problem solved.

Must be the wrong size then, cant see how it would be able to get out if its the right size...

wow great value...not sure on the quality, but when i got my dog one for the car it was really expensive. Heat added

I agree - if the right size and adjusted correctly there is no way a dog could wriggle out of one of these. My dog is the No. 1 candidate for wriggling out of things but with his car harness there is nowhere for him to even start...

You should never have named him Houdini :whistling:

Completely wrong, i would TOTALLY recommend a harness on a dog in a car!!! DOgs shouldbe secured same as people! If they are not and you have to do an emergency stop there will be trouble!!!

Have seen these in poundland and the quality is of a 10 quid harness, bargain just waiting for the right size only had small and medium in.
If your dog is wriggling out of a harness btw then its either not on propely or its the wrong size, no way a dog can get out of a properly fitted harness unless its grown opposable thumbs and unclips himself

not bad for 1 pound if good quality. better than the quote we had in vet other day 10-13 pounds.

At no point did I say that a dog should be free to roam a car. Its just in my experience its better to have a dog guard for the boot. Its also really good for controling the kids!!!

In my poundland there was only one size:? did other poundlands have a choice?? I securely fastened it and adjusted it but he still got out.

At my local Poundland there was as you say only one size, but it does adjust down to really tiny so I would be surprised if there are many dogs smaller than this. I do think there would be an issue with it being too small for the larger dog. It goes round my dog OK (border terrier) but I can't see it coping with dogs much larger than this.
