Wonder if they do a "mother in law seatbelt".........oh yes they do its specially designed to strangle them at the mere hint of braking!

That's dark... but funny.

Since when did dogs have seat belts.

Voted hot - firstly because they do dog seat belts and secondly because they do them in 3 different sizes !!!!!!!!

Well they have to be safe too when they're driving.

Now I've seen it all!

No dog in the entire history of dogs has ever sat still in a car and NEVER will.

Didn't vote.

HOT mainly for the comical picture.

That has to be one of the most useless pieces of s*it to have ever been invented. They'll probably have chocolate teapots on offer next week...

seen a guy getting pulled over with the pigs in blue the other week because his mutt was jumping all over the place in the car.

maybe thats what this is about.
dangerous ****
then again i like the idea of the mother-in-law one!!

They've sold these in Poundland for about the last 2 years. No prizes for guessing how much.

I want one for my goldfish, can't find them anywhere

Why is it useless please explain.

1. Looks uncomfortable for the dog
2. The dog will escape in 2 seconds flat
3. While he is struggling to escape, you will be distracted and crash you car into a lamppost

link dose work ...... good price i payed £15 for mine

Handbrakes for canoes?:giggle:

I guess it's law for animals to be suitable restrained in a moving vehicle etc, but I just couldn't imagine my choco lab doing anything other than chewing this to bits.

1)how does that look uncomfortable? All the support seems to be in the right places have you ever tried one?
2)Depends on the dog but most of them would give up as actually trying to escape would cause them the discomfort
3) See #2

Good idea if your dog will accept it , my sisters Labradoor cant sit still for 5 seconds though.
On the safety side of things ,in a collision a un-restrained dog will probably end up going through the windscreen ,apart from killing itself it could easily take the driver or passenger with it.

Excellent idea , just cant see many dogs aceepting it though.

I suppose a seatbelt for a dog is even more important if your car doesn't have any doors...... as per the one in the pic??!

lol

I agree with 1. the straps would be better if they where thicker.
The other two points are debatable depending on your dog.

Maybe this dog would have benefited from wearing a belt.

1. That dog is a model dog (he's hiding the excrutiating pain well). Never tried one myself (Ihave arms AND legs).
2. None of the dogs I have ever had would give up struggling.

I go mine on a B.O.G.O.F.F. when i purchased the ashtray for my motorbike.

How much are they in POUNDLAND????????:?

wouldn't really want to trust my dogs life to a £1.99 harness. I'll stick with a Hi-craft harness. (and yes there are dogs out there that will sit still in a car, mine for example)

I might try one of these, i shelled out nearly thrity quid for an RAC one. After months of wearing it in disgust, the dog figured out that if she wriggled around so that she was sitting backwards and slid her bum off the seat she would literally fall out of the harness. She does it before we hit the end of the street now. Cant put her in the boot either because she climbs over the back seat.

I'm gonna try a roof rack next!

Absolutly and total ******** :-D My 2 have sat still in the car since puppies, its a case of them being trained to, and as a superb dog handler :whistling: ive got to say....dogs can be trained to do most things

Although i do have to agree with this one looking pants, yes the straps need more support and padding! But dont diss the Hi craft, RAC, Puccia pets ones....IMO well worth the money.

Second this! My puppy wears one everytime he's in the car and just sits there happily!

Good deal, I'm off to buy one on Monday as he has grown out of his current belt!

Would be a bit silly, buying a cat nav for a dog!?!

call me old fashioned but does no one use the boot anymore?

ITS FREE!

(only joking before peeps get the rspca out on my *ss)

Why would the RSPCA be on your case, its a valid point...although are you meaning with the parcel shelf on! No good for mine and for dogs that jump over, so the seatbelt is ideal and safe for all :-D

Voted hot and passed on to my next door neighbour thanks

I thought this might be more useful....
