This is on my shortlist, along with the £799 105 Pro Carbon at Planet X... and one of three at Ribble... it's a really tough choice at the £1k mark these days. Not that it's a bad thing! This Dolan is very keenly priced though. Hot.

Rival 22 version also £8.49

Nice deal ;-p

Hot, when compared to the Caad 12 105 my other half recent bought (£1.2K!) this is a good deal. The 105 looks good and the brakes are nice and strong.

My only thoughts would be, what is the frame set like, and getting the right fit.

Bargain though.

I was going to go for the Planet X pro carbon until they changed the wheels on the bike to a cheaper version so went for this instead, a lot better looking bike too imo
That's a great deal ... I've recently gone for an R872 from Ribble but if this deal was around I may have been tempted !!!
Good to see a UK company still in the bike market. Dolan are nice bikes. I have the Mythos as a winter bike and its a great bike - this looks like the more modern version of it.

Funnily enough, the looks of the Dolan are putting me off slightly! Thought it was much prettier when it was called the "Hercules".

Worth noting there's no cycle to work admin fee with Dolan, too!

Also all of these retailers have frame geometries online so theoretically you shouldn't have any problems with sizing. Going to Planet X this weekend, but at the moment a Ribble Gran Fondo is looking favourite

Wasn't too keen on this colour but went for the black and blue one which looks a bit better, upgraded to a 11-32 rear cassette for all the hills over here

Youd better be using a 53-39 with that 12-32...

I'll stick to the compact front , I've been using a 12-28 with a 50-34 so this will be a little better on the hills
I nearly bought this bike in the blue but was put off by how chunky the frame was ended up with a Ribble instead. (would defo have bought it at this price though!) Had a look at planet x also but glad I avoided it as I have a friend who got one and he's had nothing but trouble. Different bits that have all been sorted but still ongoing problems with his wheels on his 3rd set from them all of which have failed which is worth keeping in mind.
Anyway heat from me op

Yeh, I use a 11-28 compact and it's good in everything bar 23% hills. Not many of them though.

Errr - really?
They look like lovely bikes. Know where to go next time. Enjoying my Specialised Tarmac Comp though!

I have a Planet X Pro Carbon bought over 5.5 years ago albeit mine had Fulcrum Racing 3 wheels on it, not Planet X. Never a problem in all those years apart from recently when the rear wheel eventually failed under my 93 kg weight and kept snapping spokes, so have bought an Ultegra wheelset (seems very nice) and am just about to start running a pair of Irc Formula Pros (the best tubeless tyres, Japanese) tubeless. My Planet X has Sram Force on it which is bombproof. When you say your mate has nothing but problems this is surprising because apart from the brakes (which are fine) the Planet X will then be off the shelf components such as the 105 on this, or various other options, and the usual cranks, bottom brackets etc. The frames are also tried and tested (at least pro carbon) over many, many years. Thus I am scratching my head a bit unless he has been unlucky, or has had a problematic Planet X wheelset which when I bought mine at least, we're well regarded wheels even though I went for an upgrade.

I'd get this, I have the Planet X Pro Carbon 105 and although I love it had I seen this at the time I would've bought, primarily for the internal cables, and the finishing kit looks very appealing too, I am happy with my Planet X but given the choice or my opinion I think this does look ever so slightly the better deal
Decent spec for the price..frame at 1.2 kg not that bad ...I would definately upgrade the tyres to the Conti 4000s option.

Agreed - the pro carbon is pretty ordinary in the flesh - showing it's age. Went for an rt-80 105 for £1k in the end. The PX staff were fantastic, but it's still being built so I'll reserve final judgement.
Absolutely love my pro carbon. No issues in almost 2.5 years.
It was the chance to get full 6800 groupset under £1k that got me :-)
This is a fantastic deal on the dolan - i agree it's a nicer looking bike than the pro carbon and we'll reviewed. Heat added.
