Dolce Gusto Jovia coffee machine with 160 Free Pods, an excellent deal from Argos!

I believe it actually covers most of the Dolce Gusto machines, but the purchase must be made in-store for the offer to be valid.

This is obviously in addition to the fact you get web credit when registering the machine, so plenty of pods for those coffee lovers!

Good deal. What kinds the pods might be (latte, cappuccino, espresso ?)
Would you not still get the free credit on this aswell as it's a manufacturer offer and this is argos's?

Are these the best? Better than Nespresso and Tassimo?

My Tassimo went belly up the other week so got a Dolce Gusto machine - no comparison. Comparing Latte to Latte (!), Tassimo was a bigger cup, hotter, and tastier by a BIG margin. Not sure if others think the same?

The 2 Boxes I got had;

2 x boxes of Latte Macchiato
2 x boxes of Chococino
2 x boxes of Cafe Au Lait
2 x boxes of Americano
2 x boxes of Capuccino

Awesome deal, and yes you still get the credit when registering as mentioned in the original description

I am the opposite, I found the Tassimo terrible, small cup sizes, watery drinks in comparison and far cooler water output than the Dolce Gusto. The Tassimo seemed to ride on it's reputation of having branded drinks such as Costa, Cadburys etc, but the drinks themselves were pretty awful, 3 people I know have changed to a Dolce Gusto from Tassimo and all tend to agree.
Fair enough that it is personal preference at the end of the day though.

Did the pods come separately. The Argos store are refusing to give pods as apparently they are given as credit. Nothing in the box

They gave us 2 cardboard boxes of pods each had 5 x Packets of the pods in. Show them the website as it clearly states on the special offers section it comes with 160 pods.

Can't comment for anybody else but my girlfriend got one and has had nothing but problems with it. 50% of the time it won't actually push water through. We've tried unblocking it, pumping the water tank at the back - nothing. Seems to be completely random.

No luck.. manager doesn’t understand the offer and has been on the phone to customer service. They don’t know either. Guess It’s not my lucky day today

For the best coffee - Nespresso. For good coffee and ease of use Tassimo.
That’s amazing, essentially a free coffee machine, a box of 16 is £4.55, so your getting £45.50 worth of coffee

On a side note, I don’t drink coffee but the wife swears by this make, the only thing that broke in our house (after 3 years of daily use) and got replaced the next working day
Great deal but Old St store can't see it on their systems. Will try somewhere else.
I've tried them all and much prefer the dolce gusto. Although it pales into comparison with the bean to cup I know have!
This is a cracking deal.
anyone else got the extra coffee, just curious
I got it today, 10 boxes.

Just a heads up, after some perseverance figured out the issue. You literally need to walk to a manned till and order. I made the mistake of ordering at the automated machines.
The manager was nice enough to give me 240 pods because of how long it took to figure out how to get the offer. Good Stuff

Glad you got them in the end enjoy!
Thanks Op. Been eyeing up a pod machine for ages. Pulled the trigger on this.

I went for the Krups 'Oblo' for an extra £7 just cos I prefer the style of it.

Got two brown cardboard cases, each containing 5 boxes (variety's as described above) of 16 pods = 160 Pods.

NOTE: You get 160 pods but some drinks require two pots, e.g. those with milk/cream .... so you actually get 160 pods making a total of 112 drinks.

Given mine a spin and I like it a lot
Small tip when deciding if this is worth it for the free pods - A box of compatible pods is £2.50 at Lidl instead of the usual £4.50.
Still tempted to upgrade my aging Dolce Gusto though...
does anybody have a view as to whether it is worth paying an extra £13 for the Mini Me automatic version compared to the Jovia manual? Thanks!

I personally prefer the manual to have more control about how much hot/cold water I use per pod, rather than the automatic settings which are not set to everyone's tastes.
You can always press the button again with the automatic, but it's nowhere near as easy as just turning the lever back like you would on the manual version, save the pounds

Can't you simply "centre" the water delivery switch at any time, to stop the flow of water on the Mini Me? (centre is off, Left is Cold and Right is Hot) if so, it makes very little difference if any, other than cost. That said, I think the Jovia is a better looking machine for not having the volume slide control on the front

Got it last night, thanks for posting, really happy with this! My current machine I think needed descaler but I wanted to upgrade to an automatic one for a while anyway, perhaps because I had once accidentally let it overflow while looking at HUKD instead of watching my coffee pour ;-)

But I thought this (the Jovia) is a manual machine, not automatic, or even semi automatic, as is the Mini Me?
Tried Stratford Westfield. No joy-via...
Big thank you OP! Got machine with the extra pods today. Took a while in the shop though... apperantly they had no idea about the offer promoted online, but they figured it out eventually.

If anyone else has any problems, the code for the pods is 749/3854, incase the staff instore has problems figuring out how to add the pods (or are not aware they actually have pods instore).
Ah went to get this today and expired! No free pods any more, and a slight price increase. You snooze you lose!
