Amazon price match in 321.....

£29 @ Amazon
I bought this for £40 last week and I'm taking it back today it's already broke. I've followed the "first use" instructions but it only spits out lukewarm water. Not ideal.
Cant go wrong with these machines. I got one as a birthday present a few years back - its still going strong at my mum and dads house. I bought myself a newer one this time last year for £29 and that's still fine too.

You could order Amazon's, get it delivered to a shop using pass my parcel and get a £5 voucher (that's if you'd have another) I think you've just been unlucky, I've had one for a couple of years with no probs as had nick66 above

I'm on my way to the MetroCentre now to just get a replacement. Hopefully I've just been unlucky with that one.

Did you get any vouchers inside to use online?
Watch out with these machines, because the one I have has a setting on it from 1-6. Which releases the right amount of water. Some of these machines have none, and you have to guess when to stop the water.

I'd hazard a guess at stopping it before it overflows?

I prefer being able to decide how strong a want my coffee so like these machines, I got one this week, pods are cheap on amazon and with prime you could be sat enjoying a nice latte like me tomorrow, heat added.

the vouchers are a rip off, you get £10 buy it's a£20 minimum spend on the site, works out cheaper on amazon.

Just picked one up and there is a £10 voucher to use online inside the box
Meant to say that although it says one cup per pod it won't make a proper northern working man's cup full, it means a poncy southern coffee bar cup, I have to use two at a time.

Was just asking as when I got mine there was £40 worth of vouchers inside that's all
manual one, the auto ones give the right amout of water for each pod
If you drink a lot of coffee then a Nespresso will probably work out better value in the long run. The pods for the Dolce Gusto are expensive. Competition has brought Nespresso pods down in price, while these ones remain rather pricey.
Great price for the machine. Just a shame authentic pods are expensive.
Right so I replaced this today at Gateahead Team Valley, brought it straight home and exactly the same!? Red side WILL NOT get hot!?!?
Do I need to do anything apart from fill up > wait for green light > move stick to red side?
Pods are only £3.99 for 16 in Tesco when they aren't on offer at 3 for £10. Works out at 15p a cup, very reasonable and cheaper than most of the others.
LiamGTR mine also only gets luke warm, but have been told that that's the temperature coffee should be served :-/

But a nespresso is espresso only or latte with the milk accessory? Dolce gusto can be used for long drinks like Americano

Coffee should be served at 97°
97 degrees....what? Thats not true at all sorry.
Thats pretty much at boiling point and would take the skin off your lips!

These machines don't serve as hot as a kettle and instant freeze dried coffee, mainly because its fresh coffee, its not possible! The pods are sealed and the pressure (sorry for lesson in sucking eggs to those who know) forces the water through the ground coffee, dripping down into the cup. If you take notice of how fresh coffee is made properly, you'll notice (hopefully) they have a thermometer in the steamed milk to make sure its the right temp. If your coffee is too hot to drink then your Barista is a numpty.

Not lukewarm, but certainly not 97 degrees lol!

Incidentally, my wife likes it hotter than either of our gusto machines can throw out, so I stick it in the microwave for 20 secs afterwards :D, however, everyone else thinks its perfect.

I'm only speaking out as we tried all the rest, and this is the closest thing you'll get to a great coffee in your own house without faffing around with steamers, or megabuck machines. Other pods may be cheaper, but Dolce Gusto win this race.

And I'm a coffee snob. Apparently.
May have to get to replace my Tassimo which i used to swear by was the best, that was infill they changed there recipe and now its not that nice at all.
