Just want to point out Currys has a starter kit bundle also on offer at £49.97 but it's black/grey in colour and is made by Krups not Delonghi. Depends on you're brand and colour preference. Only difference i see except for colour and brand as mentioned above is that the Krups is 1500w and the Delonghi from Amazon is 1460w.

These are rubbish! Wait for a better on on Black Friday
We've had ours for a few years now & still good ... love the chococino & latte macchiato. We've found the Krups is better quality than the Delonghi. Can usually find 3 boxes for £10
Not sure why so cold. 6 boxes are about £20, So £35 for the machine is not bad. But also not necessarily a deal, perhaps usual price?

I would say it's a deal as price does go back up and find the black/white is not always on offer as much as the black/grey, but yes they are on offer quite often.

Mine makes different noises on different pods . Ours is about 2 years old, we've got used to it, so can't tell how noisy is, I can tell is not very noisy, but is not very quiet either. Certainly noisier when water runs out.

With my mini me Dolce Gusto, I find the need to pop my drinks in the microwave fer about 15-20 seconds, something I don't' need to do with my Tassimo BUT, (unlike the Tassimo), you can switch between POD drinks, and simple WATER delivery (hot or cold) with the DG, making it a more versatile piece of kit methinks.

To perform the same "switching" task on a Tassimo would require you to remove the spout, and purchase/insert a special barcode (water delivery) disc, giving you the options of 150, 250, 350 and/or 450 ml.automatic delivery.

I haven't found that myself. Temperature is perfect to start drinking straight away for me without burning my mouth. If I put it in a flask it stays nice and hot for ages

My grandmother just had hers delivered from amazon, this deal to be precise and hers sounds like the one i got now which is rather quiet, so i assume my first one was faulty although many youtube videos i have looked at the sound is very loud like my first one which i thought became faulty because it went really quiet. The rather quiet one does not vibrate at all and is so quiet compared to the first one which sounded like a loud generator and mug/cup would move whilst making coffee because of vibration. This quiet one doesn't vibrate at all and nicer on ears.

I find drinks hot enough for most people, although personally i boil kettle and pour kettle water into my mug/cup and leave for a minute to heat cup/mug up first as i find it does cool down quicker if i do not heat mug/cup first, although i do drink hot drinks very quickly most of the time, people say i have a lead mouth, but my friend finds it more than hot enough. Down to personal preference i guess.

Mine does not do very hot drinks either. The good part is I do not like hot drinks anyway, if it was after me, I will have ice even in the tea. My wife warms up the DG coffee in the microwave, as not hot enough for her.
I paid £29 for it from TESCO and it came with £30 Nestle pod vouchers. Used it for a year then gave it to my niece who still uses it every day.

Oh yes, it's all about personal taste fer sure, but where the Dolce Gusto wins hands down (over Tassimo fer example) is in its versatility.

Had mine over 2 years. Brilliant machine. Wouldn't be without it. Maintenance is essential, especially in a hard water area but it's a great little gadget

Mine's quite noisy like that but doesn't bother me. I've had the machine over 2 years. Love it. Use it 2 - 3 times a day. Good maintenance is important, especially cleaning the 'needle' out if you live in a hard water area. One of the best kitchen gadgets I've ever owned

As my grandmothers is rather quiet like my replacement i'm happy it's fine, i agree they are not rubbish, since owning/using for around 6 weeks now i was without it for two days this week whilst i waited for replacement and could not even drink instant coffee out of a jar, it was vile yet i always drank the same instant coffee for years, the taste/texture difference is rather amazing compared to instant coffee and boiled kettle water. Could never drink instant coffee from a jar now lol, i actually missed it whilst i waited a replacement machine lol.

I'm the same now - can't stand instant coffee
re noise - my friend has loaned me her Dolce Gusto Krups machine and it quite noisy. But it works and I am very happy with it.

You can get Dolce Gusto compatible refillable capsules - it can be a bit tricky to fill up but I find I get a cleaner taste than with the cafeteria. I add a small piece of coffee filter at the bottom of reusable capsule so less coffee grinds in my drink.

I buy the DonMatteo 50 Milk Latte Pods from Amazon. I really like them, i buy a tub of horlicks and a tub of Options belgian chocolate from supermarket and use with these milk pods, works out cheaper and makes for a really nice creamy/frothy drink at night.

Haven't noticed our machine is very noisy, sounds just like the video. It has always sounded the same though, not changed in anyway.
