This stuff is fantastic. Someone recommended it me to clean tile grout the other day. It actually cleans the grout and any mould. The first product i have ever encountered to do so. Even tried the bit of mould on the washing machine rim and it tottally shifted it. Have tried everything before and nothing worked. So you want to shift some grot, this is the stuff.leave on for about half an hour and watch it do wonders! ALso in Asda for about £1.80ish

Thanks, my grot's needin' busted!

I bought this in Home Bargains the other week for 99p and found it did nothing for my tiles at all

try using either bleach and bicarb of soda, or bleach and baking powder.

cannot remember which combination works, but it does.

pour a generous amount of bleach onto the area affected then sprinkle generous helping of one of the powders on top. leave for a couple of hours and wash off.

for tiles, put a whack of the powder into a bowl, then add bleach, mix, and quickly smear onto the tiles/grout

Be VERY careful about mixing ANYTHING with bleaches or bleach containing cleaning products. Ammonia is a total no-no,, but even milder chemicals can be dangerous in combination - Note that some commercial baking powder (they vary a lot) contains an acid to release carbon dioxide when wetted in mixing the cake) Any acid material present will release Chlorine vapour from the Sodium hypochlorite (the active ingredient in bleach), and can be very dangerous, especially in an enclosed space such as a bathroom or small toilet cubicle! Other cleaning materials OFTEN contain acids, as they are effective at getting limescale off, so if you use them, don't put bleach in the toilet too!

Bleach is actually a very poor cleaner, and more toxic than most people realise, I suppose it's common use in the past is the reason it is so widely used now, even when better cleaners exist - often it bleaches out the colour of the dirt, rather than actually removing it!

Domestos don't seem to have a data sheet on Grotbusater(yet?), but for ordinary Domestos, this is it here:
futures-supplies.co.uk/dow…pdf
and it even specifically mentions acid/bleach!

wasn't having a go!, just thought you may have mistaken it for a bottle they have that's simular.

Just wanted to say thanks for recommending this. I was a bit cynical as I tried almost everything to clean the dirty grouting in my bathroom but this has done wonders. It has removed about 90% of the mould and muck with absolutely no elbow grease required...hot from me!!!
