Ok, this is a LOT of money, but for those that camp or tour, it's a great bit of kit, and this is a big saving.

It won't be for everyone, but much better than peltier based cooling

I had this on a Camel Camel Camel tracker but ended up putting a CRX-50 in my campervan.
This isn't to be confused with a £100 coolbox, it's a proper fridge that will run off a 12v leisure battery for a full weekend and can go cold enough to freeze thing's. Great price, but a bit niche.

Woah, think I’ll just stick to tinned food when camping. Or just pop to Tesco.

Crx50 looks decent. I'm in a car, so this suits better for me, but not sure the deal will get hot!
RRP seems a bit iffy. The 31 Litre version is £405 not a special offer but it states the 21 litre's RRP is £584 which is more than the larger 31 litre.

And the 15 litre is £483 down from RRP £575.

Prices are all over the place.

Nice for those needing this, but I could buy almost 2 fridges for the price. Heat for find.
EYE-OPENER! X
Perfect for a campervan.
Great items. My dometic has served me well for camping trips and a beer fridge too!
Very nice but I think I'd need about double that capacity but then those prices are not far off what I'm was sorta planning to spend buying a van.

This is a good deal Dometic prices are all over the place in general, excellent units if you need them though.

If you don't need the freezer capability then the Dometic RC 1200 EGP is great - 40 litre capacity and ability to run on gas. It's a pretty big thing, but ideal for keeping in an awning. Only problem is that the prices seem to have gone mental - I got mine from a deal on here for £140 a couple of years ago and it's literally double that right now which is crazy.

The other option is to buy a 3 way fridge from someone stripping a caravan on ebay.

Tell me about it! I paid just under £500 for my CRX-50. I'm fairly sure my Samsung American style fridge/freezer wasn't actually that much more than that!
The alternative is a cheaper 12v coolbox thing, but then you need to freeze half the stuff in it and hope everything is still cold a few days later.
What size motherboard does this take?
Keep an eye on French & German Amazon sites for these coolboxes. Prices are usually much lower, and get heavily discounted when stock gets low or returns are listed in warehouse deals.
I guess heat for the deal. I'd personally stick to ice packs or buy ice from the super market. (especially if it's going to cost £339 + fuel to cool 2 x 2l bottles!)

I'm in the mood to share, I knew I was going to do a lot of walking when on holiday in Egypt so I bought an insulin storage pack (basically a bum bag with custom fitted gel packs). In the hotel I stayed in it had a freezer, so I froze the gel packs overnight along with a 750ml bottle of water. I took them out when I went walking and by the time I needed a drink the water was liquid again. It turns out I needn't have bothered as there I was in the middle of the pyramids and a local handed me an ice cold glass bottle of coke! (I learnt that these are provided by the Egyptian government for tourists)
This is not a bad deal really . But I would rather go for something that I works on gas .

It's good advice but I'm a dreamer at the moment slightly obsessed with all things campervan related. I haven't even bought a cheap van yet let alone begun what will likely be an arduous 12+ month conversion that inevitability ends in failure.
We’ve been using a Dometic CR50 in our truck for the last 8 years. It’s been regarded once, but it’s had a hard life to be fair. Compressor fridges can get a lot colder than gas or 3-way fridges, you get what you pay for I’m afraid. Don’t forget that you need to vent the heat out somehow - in hot climates ours heated the living space until I installed a small fan to blow air out of a vent whenever it runs.
£399.99 now.
339 again
