Domio Special Recipe Sauce for Bolognese - Aldi 79p

Aldi are currently selling this Dolmio Special Recipe Bolognese Sauce for only 79p. The sauce tastes fantastic and i buy it all the time. Common supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys sell this sauce at least £1.50 each.

Ive seen this deal in 2 Aldi stores so far (Bulwell and Heanor) so im assuming that majority of stores are the same.

No, there are just over 700 Aldi's in the UK compared to over 2,500 Tesco stores making Tesco far more common.

I get mugged every time I go to Tesco. The cost at the checkout is horrendous...

Great price. Thanks for post. I’ve not had a bolognese for ages

Really easy and better to just make this yourself - you will wonder why you haven't always done it.

The beauty is that you can use what you want, I like some balsamic vinegar in it

nothing like a bit of pasta & balsamic vinegar, with optional tomatoes

are you sure you wouldn't be better off spending 79p than wasting your time cooking - even as a stand-by solution you can heat up in 5 mins?

No need to as all ingredients to make it are in the cupboard, it's essentially a standby meal.

Also the pasta takes longer than 5 mins, you can make a sauce in the time it cooks 😁

    Just a suggestion, I didn't vote cold.

passata, tinned chopped toms, onions, garlic, mixed herbs, salt and pepper is the base.

takes literally 10 minutes to make a big pot full, and tastes much better than the jar stuff.

then add whatever else you like.

mince for bolognaise or lasagne, make meatballs by mixing up some mince, grated onion, mixed herbs and seasoning. make chili with the bolognaise base and add red kidney beans, chilli powder and corriander powder.

Aldi is now the 5th biggest supermarket after Tesco Asda Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.
