Smyths are currenty offering £5 off when pre-ordering this title for collection in store.

I know there have been a couple of other posts recently of this game at the same price give or take 10p but they were both online and I thought some people might prefer being able to to go and pick it up in person.

This isn't really a remaster, and it's definitely not a remake, it's a rerelease or a port. If this is too expensive for you because it's cheaper on the Wii U, you are not the target audience. This is for the people who didn't have a Wii U (i.e. most of the population) and want this critically acclaimed game on their new console. No one is buying this for the additions.

This is much more akin to Final Fantasy XV Windows edition or Skyrim coming to every console (that's much more of a ripoff though imo). Granted DKCTF is a 4 year old game, but it IS a Nintendo game, and while I'm not defending their prices, 'Nintendo Tax' isn't anything anyone should be surprised at anymore.

Cold, cheaper for the same game on wii u.. I don't like nintendo doing these remasters for games that aren't even that old or look identical to the previous version.

you have to love Nintendo fan logic the people voting on this will be those who used to moaning about remasters, but if its on a Nintendo console its a completely different matter, what makes matters even worse is that most of the nintendo remasters are more expensive than those on other consoles, but they will happily bend over and take it

look at ratchet and clank/Shadow of the Colossus thats how remasters should be done, oldish games with effort put in and at a reasonble price.

These remasters with a lack of effort aren’t exclusive to Nintendo. Been happening on PS4/X1/PS3/Xbox 360 for years.

Also, Ratchet and Clank is a complete remake, not a remaster.

My logic for buying this is being able to play it on the go instead lf being stuck in front of the tv like on WiiU.

i know ratchet and clank was a remake which makes my point about it, even better. my point is how those nintendo fans who disliked them on other consoles have no problem(we should all have a problem with poor remasters) on the switch and they should not be full price which was another point of my post.
as someone mentioned darks souls about £29 which has never been on a Nintendo console but this with zero effort is £40?
but the fans will happily bend over and take it and Nintendo know they can get away with for this reason. don't get me wrong love there games but hate there business practices.

These ports are there to simply fill in gaps. It's up to people if they want to get them. I have always disliked ports but what can you do. Not gonna lie you just sound salty lol

agree, but i do think they would get a lot more sales if they released it at £25-30. but that can be said for a lot of remasters and as i already have it for the wii u, i might picked up to so i can play on the go but not until its a bout £20-25 which coulld be a long wait or never with a 1st party nintenso game
£40 for 4-years old game? Too much!

Well that’s fanboys for you. Same as on every console really.

I’m not bending over to Nintendo though by buying this. I simply just want the game on my Switch despite having already owned it on Wii U. (I no longer have my Wii U too) I loved it and want to be abke to take it on the go.

I think the real crime with this though, is that Donkey Kong Country Returns wasn’t added to the package. That was a poor show from Nintendo.

Should be £19.99 in some kind of classics range.
£0.01p more at tesco with free delivery, clubcard points plus Avios if that's your thing. Unless you work next door to a Smyths there are better value (or cheaper - Base) deals out there!
Come on Ninty, I wana buy but not at these prices.

Agreed. Never had a Wii U so I'm looking forward to this.

Also I think if they ported Mario galaxy 1 & 2 on the switch I would but it!

They will probably sell bucket loads of these at £40. No need for them to reduce the price
Have this on Wii U. Not actually that big of a platform fan but I loved this game, especially the boss fights
