We are approaching peak travel season for holidays etc, misery lines maxxed out at airport security.. oh joy.

I neglected to look at Wilko's own website first & instead got sucked into looking on Amazon & ruddy Ebay when I couldn't see my carefully hoarded small bottle collection that hand luggage only travelling foists upon one...

wilko.com/tra…nis

Please note, the one listed is available as an instore 3 for 2 deal but there are loads of alternatives if you care to peruse the extensive list, on the other hand ignore it & just stink out the plane on your return.

So, whilst mocking my use of the written English language please avail yourself of the numerous empty bottles & also note the big brand filled travel bottles from mr Wilkinsons shelves, I understand they are available online, but that invariably means a big spend / a "pants down postage spanking" probably negating any savings made... choice is yours, (& we don't need to endure grumpy comments pointing out p+p costs either! ...happy days!

Fill your boots dear hearts! (technically speaking)

Please do remember to speed the line up, pocket delving etc, place your smaller gubbins into multipe approved size of clipseal bags, not just your cosmetics & lotions, which makes these things way easier to empty out, lob into the grey bin tray & swan through the "ring of steel (ha)!

OK, scroll down (PAGE 1) for the links to the others within the range

there are certainly travel guidlines in place, however they are probably open to interpretation unles you get unlucky! ..& clipseals are pretty handy to have when travelling for a variety of purposes, on the ski-hill for instance I keep money, (notes etc) & mountain maps in em, they come in very handy for instant location rather than loose stuff pocket delving frenzies, which eat into your time, ..& handy in voluminous handbags or capacious rucksacks rather than playing lucky dip in a bran barrel ..type thing.

OK, putting the other bottle varieties on here..

I was told my large sandwich bag was "too big" but the nice bloke gave me a bag for free.

Ideal for carrying samples to the bank.

Bought these last week, just used the bag so far, but I'll be taking them to Spain next week. Great for a quid

No special deal here. Standard Wilko offer.

I was in Warsaw last week going through customs at Chopin airport and the security people there made the Americans look quite reasonable. The gentleman in front of me was made to quaff the little wine bottle he'd bought at the airport while the lady behind me forced to drink the expressed milk from the bottle. By comparison London City Airport let me board with a tin of Special Brew...

I don't get it ... When I go on holiday I just put all liquids in checked baggage. Much easier than messing about with all this crap surely...

just for clarification you are allowed to have 1 bag of liquids per passenger in your hand luggage. Bag can't be bigger than 20cm x 20cm and all liquids in there have to be 100ml or less. And even Nutella or spread is classed as liquid.

Just be mindful the poundland bottles dont have 100ml on the bottle they are just plain. 2 of my friends had all there liquids taken from them for this reason recently! Not sure about the wilko bottles

3 in pound land for a pound with a bag

Its for when you travel with cabin luggage only- or for alcoholics to smuggle spirits aboard
But as mentioned above you can buy travel sized everything, usually 3 for £2 in Tesco, or buy at your destination

Some people only take hand luggage dear.

The Poundland ones are fine. It's a pack of 5, which is 3x 100ml bottles and 2x small containers for cream. Also, the Poundland ones have a screw top, which I think are more secure and less likely to leak than these wilko flip tops.

Which is why I said to check out the range, they have pump versions too, I often take some vimto in mine so I can load up my sigg bottle afterwards, dry hotels / environments destination dependent, so I carry a variety in general & keep em with my flight & travel gear.

it's alright buying stuff when you get to your destination, but often means a trip out when you are jetlagged, or delayed to the point of vexation you get there in the dark of night (it happens) ..& frankly I get sick of banging a wholly inadequate amount of no foam shampoo from a tiny complimentary bottle, or ten.

Pus if you have your favourites then loading up at home is the way to go, ..nice bit of molton brown tends to go a long way (for instance)

Why the need for a lol, I travel easyjet & ryanair, but I also fly various state airlines, (complete with goodie bags) ..depending on what it's for, one time I felt a bit like Bono & his hat, cos I had to have a separate seat to New York for a piece of kit I was carrying.

Sometimes you are a mug NOT TO FLY the budget airlines! ,& if I can make a personal trip a week longer simply by "enduring" a perfectly agreeable seat on a budget airline compared to another carrier, then why the hell not!?

(besides, an executive lounge annual membership sets you up for any flight & is available at many airports, even if your posh carrier ticket doesn't qualify you for its own exclusive lounge) "LOL back at you" ...which can be used even if you are travelling easyjet et al, & often makes a nice treat for a guest or anyone you meet & get chatting to at the airport, ..free drinks (I'm a sucker for gin) ..food, papers, magazines, snooze cubes, air conditioning, nibbles, pastries, loo's secure luggage, free wi-fi.

So looking at it logically I am well set up to travel on a value airline, cos i've got my kicks away from the bustle, decreased security risks, ..relaxed, & I have a cut price flight! X)

Well, we are talking about regulations brought in by the 'Murican TSA, the very definition of pointless!

Absolutely! And if you're unlucky enough to get someone on security who has a ridiculous interpretation of the regs, then you'll get all kinds of grief. I've even been asked to throw away my toothpaste because it was marked 125g/100ml. The guy couldn't understand how it could weigh more than 100g. Very annoying.

Even more so when you think of all the highly flammable alcohol and perfumes that you can buy just the other side of the security check. Last time I checked, a broken bottle was one heck of a "sharp item over 5cm".

That said, some of the security staff deserve a medal for keeping their cool. They must want to shout" Are you stupid? " at people several times a day.

Found the set in home bargains really good, decent non leaking bottles, pack 5 i think, for recent trip, various sizes in it all in ziplocked clear plastic bag, around 79p if memory serves. price not too important just decent bottles that dont leak, and these were. hope it helps

Why would you drink alcohol on a plane though? Only reason I can think is if you're nervous or hate flying, in that case get a benzodiazepine based drug from the doctor, you won't care at all then and also very unlikely to cause a disruption being drunk on a plane.

Get the yogurt drinks from the supermarket, use the empty bottles for travel. They are 100ml.

or just keep the bottles free bottles u get at hotels

Yep the poundland ones are good, but not all stores stock them.

On a separate note, i like to drop people off at the airport. Makes me look kind, but really I do it for the free sandwich bags

It's holiday traditional to drink on the plane! Same reason people buy a pint at 6am when they get to the airport for their holidays!

Of course if you're travelling for business then that's different, but you cant begrudge people a drink when their only two weeks of relaxation out of 52 are upon them, not when 99.9% of them cause no trouble whatsoever.

Who takes Nutella on holiday? Know it tastes like heaven but ?
