Have had very bad experience with this brand of phone as the phone came filled with viruses and no way to uninstall virus with out rooting the phone. If you root the phone banking apps do not work. Doogee has business model selling cheap phones filled with viruses.

What's the proof of that assertion about Doogee? Who did you buy from?

I saw several people saying same as me on their website and asking how to remove virus. And they telling to root phone and lose warranty but not wanting to release Rom without virus and pups . You can buy this phone and try but you have been warned.

I had the oukitel k6000, which had baked in spyware. so I'm wary of Chinese phones now, seemed "normal" to record all call data, SMS etc. the spyware was actually within the"update OS" app. I don't know if it's every phone but it seemed really quiet invasive.

How can you tell that it's recording and sending stuff back?
Be good to learn more about this

Sounds like Google really (_;)
Why do you think the Chinese don't allow Gapps

If you root the phone, you can then use magisk which hides root from banking apps and any other app the does not allow root.
There is no bigger malware than Gapps.
Goggle even know when you take your phone with you to have a dump.

During the first setup out of the box I saw the option to temporarily disable screen timeout while holding the phone.
Can't seem to find it now.
I got my screen timeout set for 15 secs but I'd like to temporarily delay the screen timeout for as long a I'm holding the handset.
I don't want to resort to a 3rd party screenlock delay app as this feature is already baked into the Doogoee firmware but cant seem to find where it's hidden.
Anyone know where it is please?
