This is a budget phone for a reasonable price. Yes, we are all aware that the manufacturer has a silly name.

Specs are nothing to write home about but this will suit the light user just fine.

With a weedy CPU, 720 screen and a 3360mAh battery you should get a day and a half between charges at least.

3G only.

Do they still put adware on their phoned, or have they wised up yet?

Adware, malware, bloatware, take your pick, it's all there.

Crappy battery capacity usually let's these budget phones down but 3360mAh is excellent.

Heated!

Please excuse my ignorance but the name is so inappropriate... still heat from me.
That is pretty cheap!

I've got around 30 import phones over the last few years for myself, family, friends etc.

I've only had adware once, typically that was a phone for my wife... But not one of these 'no name' phones but a ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini, actually a really decent little phone but an ad had to be dismissed every time you unlocked the screen.

That was a couple of years ago. I think the market has matured a bit since then. Realistically, are any manufacturers or retailers really going to risk their reputation by shipping dodgy handsets?

Maybe I've been lucky or maybe I'm naive.

Would that be Sam from London you are referring to? Because he hasn't mentioned it not being 4k.

I speak from experience. My mx5 pro is now used as camera only, and i hadn't looked at it for ages. I looked at screen other day and two new icons on screen. There are no other apps on the fecking thing a except a well known safe camera app.

I have the DOOGEE X5 MAX Pro and the battery barely lasted a year with VERY LIGHT use, same with a Cubot note s fortunately the battery is replaceable. The DOOGEE Shoot 2’s battery is non replaceable so would be a big no no from me.
Good luck finding a battery for it when it gives up within a year, I bought one on a deal here for £35, in a year it simply didn’t hold the charge and the cheapest compatible battery I found was £70! I think this brand is a waste of money, some other Chinese brands seem to be cheaper to buy and maintain.
I would not be seen dead carrying a phone called a Doogee.

That's why it pays to check for spare battery availability in advance. I usually purchase 2-3 spares at the same time (batteries for the Doogee X6 Pro were only about £8 each) as I order the phone.

batteries deteriorate so not a good idea to buy a battery and do nothing with it. Secondly only 1gb ram which is too low these days, pay a bit more and get 2gb so you can actually use it.

Depending on the phone/battery capacity, I can get through 2-4 batteries a day, so they're not just sitting idle, hence the reason for buying them in the first place.
