Tap on the item and it will enlarge to it's own page, then press add to cart button which comes up in yellow.

Good for its price

This phone is not released until at least Aug 31st.
Many China phones also get delayed , so it could be later than that. Other Chinese sites have it as a pre-sale , so at least you get an idea its not released yet.

Don't expect to receive this phone until the end of September at the earliest.

Doogee…. Chinese pidgin English for Dodgy?

I can't help but always see

Sounds like something Stan Colliermore does in a BMW in a forest car park !

I'd recommend this phone on name alone.

"Phone style". A phone in the style of a phone then. Yes. I'm assuming the quad-core is in the style of quad-core.

Best to only vote this hot once it actually exists.

ive been watching for a doogee dagger phone to go down in price , i go on sites like ali-express or one that many might not of heard of its called DHGate , its the same as ali-express but more reliable , and sometime a lot quicker , i got a steamer from them it took 5 days from when it was shipped , but back to the phone i think the doogee dagger is a better phone

It says that the style of phone is "3g smartphone". Personally I'm surprised anyone needs this explaining to them.

I think the point being made was why did they feel the need to say that the phone style was '3G Smartphone' when under networks supported they list 2G and 3G only and it is obviously a smartphone. They didn't feel the need to state it has a form factor of 'Block' as opposed to 'Clamshell'. Can I now ask if it is a clamshell form factor as they haven't stated what the form factor is?

I guess an original rom is close to unusable, and no chances for a 3rd part firmware.

forums.oneplus.net/thr…57/
Mediatek. nope
Mediatek phones have an acceptable performance, but MTK doesnt publish its drivers source so there will never bee decent ROMS for it and they almost never recieve updates and are dropped very early.

Shouldn't have really, but I bought one, no harm in trying I guess. The specs don't look half bad compared to some of the Chinese phones I have had. No I gotta wait for the phone to arrive though, and some sites are saying it wont be shipped until a week or so into September

"Dodgy Phone" somethings putting me off and I can't quite put my finger on it......X)

The joke was that you 'pretended' you didn't understand that "phone style" meant "style of phone" rather than "in the style of a phone"? Nice one!

the thing you all gotta look for is the battery, it doesnt matter what features (original rom or custom) the phone has, its whether it can use them for a reasonable time period, not having to charge every 12-18 hours, this phone has a 2400mAh battery, which is less than most 'smart' phones, you need 3000mah and more to be at least usable in my opinion. I've got this - antelife.com/thl…tml
Its got a 5000mah battery and goes the whole day and into the next without charging, even with wifi, bluetooth and 3g usage. Stick a custom rom on it (http://www.needrom.com/) and you'll be sitting on a beach, earning twenty percent

Had Doogee phones before as spares when mine have been off for repair.
Good phones for the price, screens decent enough call quality is good wifi browesing etcetc is good only let down was the camera BUT for the 40 odd quid i paid i would have to be a moron to expect a quadcore capacative touchscreen that did everything my 10x more expensive phone does and have a top of line camera.

Is it a top of the line phone ? no but its excellent value for the money, especially considering its taken 12 weeks for Shamesung ( yeah i spelt that how i meant to) to repair my Galaxy.

Voted HOT.

Not really true my Iocean X7HD has a 2100mah battery and lasts 2 sometimes 4 days depending on use, thats with wifi and BT running my Galaxy lasts about a dat maybe a day and a half (when Shamesung decide to return the damn thing)

Not arguing, but if you have a million processes running in the background with GPS wifi and BT turned on when theres no need they will drain the life out of your battery.

Your opinion seems to be counter to my experience of using a smartphone with similar specifications to this one for the last 2 years even though the cpu on my phone is more power hungry.

I hated the V967s when I bought it as it had a very poor build quality but the only thing that saved it was the battery life.

Quite revealing that. You're only getting about a days use out of a 5000mah, hardly used battery?

£38 for a naff sounding Chinese phone that hasn't even been released or properly reviewed yet, made by a manufacturer infamous for bundling well hidden malware in its phones, sold by an dodgy overseas seller that doesn't need to comply with (and actively avoids) UK sales law. What can possibly go wrong?

Hardware can't be beaten for that measly price

The issue is always battery life. It is difficult to get one day use even with a few calls. You will need at least 2 batteries

As the phone is on pre-order, the issue is time travel.

through light use my phone can last for nearly a week actually, i was making the point of heavy wifi and bluetooth usage, apologies if that point wasnt clearly made

Hmmm, not really.

Incidentally, this phone was supposed to be set at a $49.99 price point so odd that no-where is charging this.

Also when I say heavy use, I have done 3 hours wifi, two 1 hour calls (approx), hour bluetooth, and I'm on 80%. Heavy use is all day GPS+3G and wifi. I must admit I have a custom rom too, it does make a difference.

had some experience with doogee - things to consider:
poor 3g reception (on any network) (dual sim is buggy) and data never works properly
poor loudspeaker and speaker
poor microphone,
poor camera,
very poor wifi receiver,
good battery life, rest is not bad but whats the point?!

Not only that, but **** lithium cells is an issue in China, even to the locals. They tend to insist that they are Japanese cells where possible.

So 5000mAh... not likely.

Go for cat phone then or kyocera torque will hold most attacks Shame that them decent phones have no dual sims...

can you get a link

got one, doesn't hold battery and jumps from 80% to flat instantly. also opens apps randomly which is not good in the middle of the night when some crazy music comes on from some of the games my daughter plays.. dodge off doogee.. replaced with a Samsung after a few months of rolling the dice on battery and being woken up randomly..
