Will be full of spyware like all other Doogee. Ancient Android 5.1

You made the same claims on this other Doogee thread: hotukdeals.com/com…331

Despite your comments two hukd members bought it anyway and confirmed no spyware found: hotukdeals.com/com…679

So how did you come to the conclusion that this phone "will be full of spyware like all other Doogee"?

Android 5.1 not good

Must be easy to update. Seen some forums in past. Will give it a try.

Could somebody please make the obligatory "Doogee/dodgy" and "I offered my wife a Doogee/doggy ......." jokes, the thread seems empty without these.

Are there any fake doogees

I have a Doogee Y6C, and it is a fecking nightmare. Updates, I have spent hours on this, I gave up eventually, even after managing to root it. I am pretty handy at this sort of thing, but the Doogee beat me. Just my experience, but what a fecking faff!!

Pretty sure 6.0 is available for this. Also an unofficial version of CM albeit 5.1..

I bought a BLU phone a similar spec and won't buy cheap again They sell on the basis of the "spec" but what you get is terrible headphone volume, dodgy Bluetooth, crappy WiFi , poor battery etc etc. Avoid

forget any upgrades, my doogee Is stuck on android 5, even though It's only a yr old

This is the worst Chinese brand you can buy .

My last Doogee phone was excellent ( Y100X ) . There have been a couple of models that had spyware on them but the majority have not. you would hope Doogee have learned their lesson on this.
Don't expect any software updates ( which is typical for most cheap Chinese brands ).
If you want better quality and support buy Xiaomi , but to be fair Doogee have made some good phones.

consider yourself lucky that it's lasted a year. mine only lasted approximately 2 months. Wouldn't switch on after charging overnight. Had my Xiaomi for over 18 months now though and still going strong ☺

Nice find OP

Not sure about the newer Doogee phones, but my Y100PRO has been flawless for the last 2 years. Only thing that is a slight annoyance is battery life, with two sim card it last about a day and a half with moderate use.

Any future phone will have to be at least double that to be good, the 2200mah battery for a 5.5 inch device doesn't cut it.

Other than that it was flawless, almost stock Android 5.1 (sadly no custom roms), rooting was quite easy, but as I say things might have changed.

I would personally wait for a Android 8 device considering updating should be easier especially for custom roms.

Been looking at Vernee, they seem to be doing some semi decent stuff for reasonable prices and they update their phones software too.

From my experience with this sort of phone, its pot luck regarding malware, more typically adware beingn pre installed. Grab a feee virus scanner from the playstore upon receipt.

Its usually the radios and camera that are below par on this price range of device, expect wonky as hell GPS , flaky cell performance and a camera that probably feels a few years behind the western flagships.

That said, for £50 youd get an equally frustrating issue on a device purchased from the UK. Its probably a risk worth taking , just be vigilant and adjust expectations against box specs accordingly

Seems like you spend a fair amount of your time talking out your arse!

Seems like you spend a fair amount of time peddling rubbish.

The Doogee phone I bought as a spare has probably the worst wifi reception I've seen in a device.

Ignoring that and colour calibration so cold its arctic, they are reasonable enough but don't expect much.

Hope the sim card slots work now

I have had this phone for almost a year now and can highly recommend it. I have had no issues with it and the fingerprint unlock has worked flawlessly. The camera is ok but no good if you need to zoom. Battery life is no worse than other smartphones I have owned.

I haven't been able to update it from android 5.1

AliExpress, BangGood, GearBeast, TomTop, and .....

Who's the cheapest people to buy an Xiaomi phone from, with International ROM, B20 Band Support, at least 2GB RAM, and at least 32GB Internal Storage too please?. :-)
