Getting there! £20 is my biting point.

Is it worth buying if you found the last Doom boring after couple of hours?

This statement blows my mind. It's the tightest, most exciting and most action packed shooter of the past ten years.

To answer your question though, no. As it's meant to be even more tighter, exciting and action packed, i.e. more boring.
Come on £20

If this hits £19.99, it’s gonna be very hard to resist.
this is a cracking game mind
Heat for console but this will be near £10 on pc soon.

Yes! Better by some distance imo. Well worth the price at £40 never mind this.

Worth buying even at full price! Dont wait, it's seriously awesome.
It's probably well worth this price but £20 is my bite point. Unbelievable how well they got Doom 2016 to run on a base PS4 - even if this is just as good it'll be something to behold

Unless you really disliked it I'd be tempted to perhaps give it another go. I didn't find it too good at first but then it clicked into place and I bloody loved it!!

Ditto, no point me buying it anytime soon anyway as TLOU2 will be taking up a lot of my time from Friday. Hopefully by the time I’m done with that the price will have dropped a little more.

Honestly no, it's a significant step down in just about every way. Doom 2016 is by far the better game.
I know as soon as I buy this, it will be on Game Pass 2 weeks later.....that's how my luck has worked so far......

It’s not though
Boo..... want the pc version
Great deal @ms84

Argh I want this game so badly. My only concern is this looks like it would be SOOOO much better on PC than console. It just looks like it should be played like the old school Doom, fast paced and jumpy. I don't feel like a console would be right for this? Can someone convince me otherwise so I can buy it and finally play it?!

It might perform better on PC but I don't think it's going to look SOOOO much better. Maybe SO much better but not 4x O's worth.

I played the previous one on PC and then again on Xbox because of Game Pass and it was equally enjoyable on both - obviously it performed better on PC but it's still a solid 4K 60fps on an Xbox One X (don't know about standard Xbox One) and I used a controller on PC anyway because it's well suited to a controller, so the main difference was that on the Xbox I had the beneift of a much bigger screen with a higher resolution (my PC monitor is 1440p), surround sound and being able to play it on the sofa. So I'm going with Xbox this time around.

Don't know if that helps, but basically I'd say don't worry about the tech side of things, it's a great looking and performing game either way, just go with whatever gaming setup you'd be most comfortable playing it in.

So buy it? It's the same price on PC at CD Keys. £2 less if you don't want the Rip and Tear Pack DLC...

Will wait until it is on gamepass
This seems to be coming down in price quick. No question I'm going to buy this but will hold off a bit longer...
Got this full price, couldn't really get into it.. Still heat though

Depends on whether you liked the previous Doom...
Literally everyone has played this game. That’s why it’s not selling.
Bought it day one then sold it.
Once it hits the £15 I’ll re-buy and add it to my collection.

Last Doom was not all that, the graphics and the multiplayer was mediocre.

This is from an original Doom fan who used to play multiplayer with the after school nerds in the school IT club.

Veering on topic, this new Doom looks decent & good find OP.

“Literally” and “everyone” don’t go hand in hand here. This is a physical or digital game which isn’t “literal”

Also not everyone has played it, the sale is due to more stock being available than what should of been shipped.

More supply than demand, basic economics.

Hardcore gamers buy these types of games “Literally” on day one. It’s a literal incentive to take your hard earned cash and head to your nearest games store.
Physical or digital.
The only thing stopping you is an empty wallet or fresh underwear.

Which suggests you could get this game & fresh set of undies.

Do you believe in jargon?
