I think it's perfectly valid for him to state that he's not getting it on Switch for now while it's £30 more expensive than on other platforms and your tone is totally unnecessary.

What is the point in this /skyrim/lego city/mk8 l/la noire/shovel Knight/rayman. The only advantage is being able to play away from home on the tablet. I Like Nintendo but lego city is like 5 years old and wasn't particularly good when it came out. It's really hard to get excited for old games. This system is just going to bring a new Mario, zelda, smash bros and the like, maybe a couple of decent third party titles and that's about it. It's annoying how you know from the offset that there is no chance they will do two new Mario platformers, or two of any other IP over the lifespan of a system. It's allways 1 Mario, 1mk, 1smash bros etc. At least you generally get a couple of halo games or uncharted games etc over the lifespan of an Xbox or ps. Oh and don't get me started over the price of a pro controller, £60. That's twice what it should be.

You basically answered your own question there. I do have a ps4 and a gaming laptop and yet spend the majority of my gaming time on the Switch. I can squeeze in 40 mins in the morning to work, same on train back home. Maybe get 30 mins before bed. I completely understand that this is not everyone but I am willing to accept reduced resolutions and fps for games I can actually play now due to my life restrictions. For that reason, I am willing to pay £40 for Skyrim which I already own on steam and ps3 so I can play the damn game and get far in a reasonable time frame.

Regarding one mario kart etc, I understand that and wish we got more. At least the games they do release are masterpieces. Zelda and Mario on the switch have been some of my favourite games as far as I can remember gaming.

Maybe m.ad was just suggesting that it might be worth waiting a month or so and that there's plenty of other things to be playing on the Switch in that time.

I want this game, but I think it can fall a little bit more before I bite.

i believe the full game is on the cart (16gb) but if you want the multiplayer then thats a download (9gb). It will run at 30fps apparently. I'm more than happy with this compared to some of the alternatives e.g. LA noire.

I suppose it depends on how much you value the things you already mentioned. I value the portability, the exclusives, the indies (and ports ive not played before) and am willing to pay the price with the help of all the good fellows here at HUKD.

This is a good price for people that haven't played the game yet, but for those of us that paid £40 for this game a year ago it's hard to pay that price for the added portability. Saying that DOOM on PS4/XB1 dropped in price so quickly that it was about £20 within a couple of months, if you're tempted by this and don't feel £37.99 is worth it just be patient and by the January sales I bet you could grab it for around £20-25, same happened to The Binding of Issac and Rayman.

I think your presumption that most Switch owners have a PS4 / XBOX is quite wrong. More likely I would think they have a 3DS or Wii U. Anyway yes my family and I will be playing the same old stuff.... various Mario games / Zelda / Splatoon / Yoshi / DK and all the usual stuff just like we have done on our other Nintendo systems.

MK8 Deluxe was lazy and effortless, I will give you that. Mario Odyssey has gone into new territory, he runs about a city with human people and so on now. Nintendo have survived not by standing still, but evolving their game characters.

What about those mainstream systems you mention and all their usual stuff. Must be on COD 27 by now? Grand Theft Auto 15 ? 25 new generic shooters every year, that's inspiring.

I am not slating your mainstream stuff. I am not in a XB/PS thread for a start. You initiated a discussion and I just pointed out that I agree Nintendo consoles to bring out the same old character lines with most of the top titles. But it was fair comment to mention it is no different in that regard to your mainstream console stuff.

Believe me it is not perfect being a Nintendo fan or Nintendo gamer. I can't tell you enough how disappointed I am with the MK8 Deluxe thing. The e-Shop sucks. I could go on and on.... but there is lots of good too, but you don't wanna hear about that or recognise that.

It’s not even a matter of whether they are better on another console. People complain about 3rd parties not being present on Nintendo consoles. So it’s good that they seek to be returning again. And in future if we support them, there will be system parity for future game releases.

Spot on.Nintendo innovate. They put gameplay first before graphics. They …Spot on.Nintendo innovate. They put gameplay first before graphics. They actually dislike micro transactions. Nintendo have it right.I also am an example. I was looking at getting a Xbox one or PS4, but I came to realise from my ps3 and elsewhere that there is a lack of variety, and the majority AAA games are overly gory (my opinion, I’m not keen on them), and are often full of micro transactions.Hence why I got a switch, and I don’t intend on buying another console. So now I bought FIFA, and want a shooter game now, as I still like variety, on top of many Nintendo games.

So what your saying is, you like video games like all us gamers like!

No diffrent to films or books or music, we all have diffrent tastes but like the same format!

Is just those of us who only play Nintendo, you don't see us making a certain type of "contribution" on the mainstream console threads. Mind you we are more content with what we have
